In most tyrannical regimes, the ruling elite is primarily Alpha males who got their positions by brute force, quashing the opposition. They rule through strength. The American Empire is ruled by women and lispy beta metrosexuals. They get their positions because the are so much smarter than us. They read books, they write papers, and they have the Ivy League pedigree to prove it. A revolution would upset and dismay the ruling elite here. Their tender, cultured lives would be in such disarray. How shocked they would be after all we have done for them! I can see it now: "We must EDUCATE these revolutionaries, and then they will be want to be welcome in the fold! More EDUCATION is necessary!" And how long before some bureaucrat in one of their rule-enforcement departments sues their government for creating a "dangerous work environment" by attempting to force compliance among the revolutionaries?
