Everything is alive
Unity is our greatest ally..
For this is the way we will rise out of the ashes that is sure to come...

I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

Are the atoms in your body alive???

Many questions out there.
I know why you're here...
I know what you've been doing...
I know why you hardly sleep...why you live alone...
and why night after night you sit at your computer...
You're looking for an answer...

Re: dirt......is it alive?
Hi OP. Interesting thought.

How about it has the 'potential' to be alive, as long as it contains water. Water being a living element. Not alive, but an element that also has potential to be living, given the right intent behind it.

Every living organism, including the planet itself, contains water.

I was hoping they would release the true nature of the water in Lake Vostok, which has the purest record for making life on this world. Laughable when they stated the water contains no life, when in fact it IS life, or at least the recipe to make anything from it.

If you look at a single cell, and an identical drop of water next to it. The difference between the two is the tiniest amount of matter, and something else. I think intent is the something else, and voila! we have life.

But back to your dirt idea. I think it has the potential to be alive, and continue o provide life through plants etc. But that all requires water.

Do you ever find it interesting that scientists always say we are carbon based life forms, when in fact we are over 90% water, and EVERY LIVING THING is equally made up of at least that or more, water. We, and our world, are water based organisms.

Re: dirt......is it alive?
NO ITS NOT ALIVE.

IT DOES NOT HAVE CELLS THEREFORE IT IS NOT a living thing.

There can be living things inside dirt, but dirt itself is not alive.

Re: dirt......is it alive?
in the karmic esoteic sense yes i suppose everything is alive, but dirt has no cellular membrane or cognotive thought, so doesn't qualify as organic life, now the bacterium living in or around the dirt speck is another story

Today farms have something that only supports the roots, all nutrition is force fed via big-agra, since about 1960.

Re: dirt......is it alive?
Its nice to see people stretching the notion of 'alive'.

Our planet, to many, is alive. But if you go by some of the answers in the negative, then the planet is not alive.

Alive is a narrow definition by popular science. Time to open our eyes, minds and our hearts to new concepts.

When you're open to it, you'll see it.

Pretty much....reason when I start my plants early I will sprinkle dirt with the potting soil. Microbs make the world go around and my seeds germinate 80% faster...before it was 5-10 days but with some dirt it's 2-3 days.
