sounds like a great city. I have been there a few times and the most that has ever happened from walking around late at night was I found a really friendly homeless woman and I was walking around with friends down a street and a few 18-20yr old guys said, "We walk in front of you, not you in front of us." They were black, but they didn't look poor, they just looked street smart.
