Gunmen have raided a church service in a village in Nigeria's volatile northeast and killed 15 people, a rescue official says.

"We received information from our personnel in Chibok that some attackers stormed a church during Sunday service yesterday and killed 15 people," AFP quoting Mohammed Kanar, the regional coordinator for the National Emergency Management Agency, as saying on Monday.

I'm a Christian and if the Lord does not rescue me from that hour of testing which is about to come upon the whole world, as the Bible states, then it appears that many others, including myself, will be "tribulated to death" by these evil destroyers. Middle East Christians are being slaughtered and everytime I hear about it, I am incensed, not passively accepting that brothers and sisters in Christ are being butchered.
Yet, when I hear a pastor or anyone else ....almost passively in my opinion, make remarks like the above, or "I want to die for Christ" (I've heard a pastor say that in his Sunday sermon), I always think, "ok, why don't you go over there where that action is and do it?"


It is true that we who believe in Him will die if confronted with evil where we choose Christ or death will be willing to die because of our faith in Him.
But the above statement just sounds so passive and so empty when there is no outrage accompanying these statements.
Where is the indignation--the outrage---that in this "civilized" world that any people can slaughter others because of their faith? We need to LIVE for Christ and we need to speak up against the slaughter of His people, not just passively resign ourselves to dying for Him. Let's live for Him. Let's speak out against those who our killing His people--our people.

When I read that obama is now sending our troops to these countries where this is happening, I definitely want to know more. When we consider his history with helping to martyr Christians over there, we have to wonder, "whose side are our soldiers helping?" Does anyone know? So far, he's helping to establish the muslims all over the middle east, and they are killing our brothers and sisters. It makes me angry, not just passivly shrugging and saying, "oh, well, so Christians are dying....that's noble!" Yes, their spirits go to the Lord and His eternal Kingdom, but it isn't noble to have this attitude---we need to speak out and do something to help those persecuted believers. The only reason any of us remain here on earth after being saved is to live for Him....to speak out for Him and for other Christians.... and so that others may be saved.

and he supported his claim by showing photographs of his cousin being brutally bitten

however, i am not defending the muslim leaders for bombing them
