Most of the gun nuts will just grumble and accept the new regulations on gun ownership. The lunatic subset who see conspiracies in every shadow will hunker down, but ultimately either surrender their guns or be prosecuted. A very small subset of the loonies might coax armed stand-offs that play into their paranoid fantasies, but hopefully no one gets hurt.
