As a child I to was raised the traditonal christan way. As I grew and read the Bible myself I found many contradicting issues as well. When I began to question the ministers, priets and the rest all I was told is have faith, and believe. While I am sorry I could not belief and have faith on a god who loves us then destroys us, sends us to war, makes all food for us then tells us not to eat a certain fruit. Then the churches demanding more money cause the churches need to pay their bill. Anyway I raised my children with no church, they turned out ok and I tell them it is their choice to choose what they believed, but I could not lie to them.
