This is funny.
I was catholic Christian and now I've opened up to the ways of quantam physics and the universe over the last few years.
After years of asking teahers, preachers and even the arch bishop of my city have I not had an answer that will satisfy nor give legitimate meaning to the word of god. Sorry but knowing that i would burn because i didnt apease a man who was meant to Love all his children was enough to throw me off. Like others have said, other 'gods' are in text thousands of years before mention of Christianity, the bibles contradiction of itself throughout the book, the fact it was written by man is just a plain simple answer. You dont trust your governments texts and speeches, so why listen to a 2000 year old book ? Man has not changed in 2 thousand years. Technology has but man hasn't. Crime, corruption, rape, murder all prelavent throughout history. I do beleieve that everyone should have their own faith. My friends are still catholic and we are still great friends. It is when religion starts to push you to start personal attacks on non believers and being labeled straight out wrong for not believing in god does is show your insecurities towards how you feel about the situation and your god. I believe if you are truly humble in yourself and your god, there is no reason to even get involved. I just am because I can :)
