Great movie, seems some people have covered your question already.

Jgl had a bloody bandaid on his ear after the shootout at his place. His face looked cartoonish from the prosthetics and makeup. It didnt seem to be deformed on one side. The kid seemed a lot smarter than them.

Even before the shootout from the very get his face was deformed on the right side. His eye was almost shut most of the time. Yeah the kid may have been smart but you are undermining Joe's intelligence. He knows history and past culture which is even referenced by Jeff in conversation. He was able to out smart even himself let alone a band of fucking lunatics with S&W 500 magnums. He even talked the mom into trusting him when she was on the verge of blowing his brains out. Besides all that even in the last scene he mentioned knowing it is a loop and then references his life and the kids life and shows they walk down the same path. You just don't want to admit the movie is based on incest.

Sorry bud but you're completely wrong. Joe is not the rain maker.

Rain maker exists as the child in "present" time, and he also exists in the future as the bad guy ruining everyone's day. While at the same time both present and future joe ALSO exist. It doesn't work.

Furthermore, if this was him as a child he would have realized it right away. He would have realized "hey thats my mom, oh looks there's me as a kid" but they don't make one mention of that whatsoever.


Also, last but certainly not least, suppose that joe is the rain maker and he is going back in time to kill HIMSELF as a child, because HIMSELF tried to close his own loop (contradiction one), why does he need to try and kill 2 other children just hoping to get it right? Why, since he's trying to find himself as a kid, not only know where he was living, but also WHAT he looked like????

Good game. Joe and the rain maker are two entirely different people. The ending is just young joe realizing that by stopping the murder of the mother, he is preventing the birth of a monster that is going to wreak havoc in the future.

You're the only one hoping its based on incest...

Oh, and one more contradiction for your failed theory, the movie demonstrates that if young joe gets hurt or mutilated, then so does old joe. If young joe dies, then so does old joe.

So why then, would old joe want to kill himself as a little kid, in the hopes of erasing the rain maker from the future and being reunited with his wife?

So many fails on so many levels.

Speaking if his wife... If its so hard to get rid of evidence and bodies in the future, why did the Amish gangsters kill old Joe's wife so quickly?

You need to see this movie. It is a great flic. I loved it. Had to hit
Rewind once or twice to get it but I loved it. Well put to gether.
