It's the first thing they talk about. Yes it starts just after 2:00 . I had heard that comment before, but he said it so naturally I didn't even notice it before. Hiding in plain sight. Dannel Malloy has had a very quick rise in CT politics. He is a Democrat for what it's worth, the former mayor of Stamford. The last governor (Republican) managed to besmirch her own reputation with self inflicted wounds, like using state money to refurbish the rest areas along I-95, something that benefits almost entirely out of state people, and she didn't even try to make a case otherwise. The budget is a big issue in CT (I'm sure it's a big issue everywhere), the state used to have no income tax at all 20 years ago, now the taxes are zooming up almost as high as New York. So Malloy had a chance to win and be in place for this. |
