Police say 2 California teens spiked milkshakes of too-strict parents to log onto Internet
Police say two California teenagers used a prescription sleeping medication to spike the milkshakes of too-strict parents so they could log onto the Internet.

The parents called police and the 15-year-old Rocklin girl and a 16-year-old friend were taken to Juvenile Hall. Rocklin is 20 miles northeast of Sacramento.

The Sacramento Bee ( [link to DON'T_USE-THIS] ) reports the girls offered to pick up milkshakes at a fast-food restaurant for the parents of one of the girls on Friday night.

The drug was mixed into the shakes and the couple fell asleep. The suspicious parents picked up a drug test kit the following day.

"To strict" parents see even the communist state thinks parents shouldn't discipline their children.
But then when their children do something wrong because the state took them away, everyone will blame the parents.

So it's okay to put your kids on a barrage of anti-psychotics and other pharmaceuticals...

But the kid gives you a harmless doggy downer and you get a great night's sleep and it's reason to call the police.

Mindless fucking useless eaters... can't even fucking take care of themselves, let alone their own children, not without the constant help of Nanny Nation.

A by product of the Social "Sciences" and the nanny state parenting that came with it. Parents have less and less options and rights to actually control children these days. In this environment it is completely reasonable to turn the children over to the only authority actually authorized to punish them.

I would have done things differently. Yanked them out of school (private school or move), taken away internet and all communication with their current set of friends. Their lives would immediately change if something this major occurred. But not everyone can or are willing to go that far.

This is a family with some serious issues. My parents were normal, not obsessively strict, and I'd never in a million years dream of drugging them, even if they wouldn't let me do something.

there is a little truth to that, but drugging someone against their will is rather bad. Of course dugging kids to make them easier to deal with shouldn't happen either. We live is bizzaro world now don't you know?

uhhh what's worse? :
the fact these kids did something stupid without understanding the possible side affects (we all have)

or the parents calling the police on their own child as well as someone else's kid... sending them to juvie... classic brainwashing that calling 911 will magically solve everything because they're 'there for you,' Trusting strangers with badges to handle all of your family problems while you unsubscribe from your duties as a parent. Really? they just took your kid to kiddie prison, what a great parent you are! honestly though, calling the police on your own 15 year old girl is the most pathetic thing i've ever heard.

DRUGGING your mom and dad is harsh. It's not like you stayed out late, got drunk/high, whatever...you DRUGGED your own parents.

I don't know how I'd respond. BUT, like I said, mom and dad obviously have serious issues, too. Shit like this doesn't happen out of the blue. I've known numerous people throughout my life raised in VERY rigid and strict homes, usually including corporal punishment, and they all have issues IMO. I've wondered where the sexual paraphilic fetish for bondage and SM come from, and think people raised in homes where 'punishment' and threats of beatings were common, even into their teens, often sexualize it, as do the adult perpetrators.

This explosion of kids, especially boys, with ADD and other vague disorders, is IMO nothing more than too bust parent using drugs to control what's in fact normal behavior for a kid and teen. They don't want to take time to talk and deal psychologically with their kid, drugging them is much easier.

Unfortunately, while I agree that ADHD is far too often controlled with drugs, we have progressed to the point where sometimes this is out of the parents control. Teachers won't have the kid in their class if they show too much hyperactivity. In some places in this nation spanking your child can get you a visit from social services if its communicated to the right people. Trying being in a divorce situation and having your x-spouse think Adderal is the answer, its not that hard to find a psychologist that will back that up and who do you think the court will side with when it comes to a head?

My point? Parents have far less options than previous generations to deal disobedient children. Unfortunately Juvenile Hall is one of them for really bad behavior. Taking "Control" of the kids for the sake of the kids has always been an agenda.

Ok so, many many details left out.

1. It was a prescription sleeping med, so I'm assuming that the parents were already using it to sleep, they got drugged with thier own drugs.

2. How was the Internet "shut down" if they are using access policies on thier router then the girls would need to know the password to the router for it to make any difference. And if so then why would you not just login with ur wifi and rework the access policy when the parents willingly drugged themselves to sleep.

3. Finally.......we're they black? cool2

Sick kids, but the parents raised them and by putting them in psycho public schools they made sure this type of shit was the outcome.

I mean look at the psycho public schools raising these little entitled psycho atheist monsters.

Atheism to the rescues again ;)
