Same story here. My son was 3 and I was attempting to finish college.

Dr says we're exposed so we need flu shots.

I was sick with back-to-back viruses (colds etc.) for 10 months straight. Never in my life have I been so constantly sick without a break. No sooner would I belabor the final days of one cold I'd get another. My teeth also began to have nagging problems. Then a month before finals I sat up in bed one morning sandbagged by the FLU, I could not go on and gave up on school. Oh, and I was depressed all the time just under the radar..would sit in class and start to cry it was part of my day.

Nutshell: My immune system FLATLINED. I had no immunity, period.
