Do we eventually lose our desires as we reach a certain level of spiritual evolution? Please tell me what you have to say about this.

Love,
Sam

On the contrary. Your desires grow with you, and you express and use them in different ways. If we were to speak about sex. If you grow spiritually, sex becomes a form of reaching enlightenment as opposed to tension release. Desire is natural and beautiful, it is your raw and wonderful humanity at work, express it beautifully and you will have no issues with desire.

Everything feels right in life now. I live freely. I feel love all around me. Best of all I have no superficial desires, only pure and honest desires to serve others.

Life has become so sweet.

Re: Do we eventually lose our desires as we reach a certain level of spiritual evolution?
I have been pondering this lately myself. Perhaps it's all a natural part of our DNA activation. What do you think of this theory?

What if a sub-conscious part of us is trying to communicate that our "physical" drive is not as important, or as efficient, as our "mental" drive to do things. Let me explain. By not having desires especially in the 3D, we must listen to what desires lie inside. Maybe we now have to learn how to manifest them with greater ease. By learning this, and making a habit of it, we don't have to spend as much energy. Would you agree that thinking takes a lot less toil then physical labor? Then not only will larger desires arise, but more focused desires that manifest more quickly with exponentially less energy.

I am assunming people are aware of quantum physics, LoA, etc.

The biggest lie out there right now is that our food contains everything our bodies need for optimal health.

You know how something would feel without having to do it.

Somewhere, it's taking place already.

Should you wish a piece of it to occupy your time, you can then pull it to you. It's much like the internet.

I have lost all desire for sex. seriously

when i see it portrayed in tv especially music videos
the way they are acting, it seems so obscene.
and the clothes some wear in public in real live

it is such a turn off. the more they try to act sexy the more
whorish it seems and that goes for men and women.

and I am very, very open minded.
to me, it just looks so stupid

A man said to the Buddha

I want happiness

The Buddha said ...

Get rid of the I ... it is ego and will hold you back

Get rid of the want ... it is desire and will bring you misery

What you have left is happiness.

Yes, I satisfied my curiosity in that regard. Now I am concerned with more practical matters.
Although it is not true that all conservatives are stupid,
it is true that most stupid people are conservative.

Re: Do we eventually lose our desires as we reach a certain level of spiritual evolution?
Good thread people. My main concern and greatest fear is that I somehow lose my drive to keep on driving. It seems as well that at times my mind will try and do that to me, I guess its to always keep a contrast. Contrast between that epic feeling of bliss when you think of something that really clicks and synches, and the feeling of deep, vast and dark emptiness, which results for me in a feeling I can only described as depressed.

But the funniest and most ironic lesson I have learned is that if it wasn't for my states of darkness I would have no contrast for the states of enlightenment.

But whats the point if you are not feeling anything. Why not feel good. Please respond.

I have something that will blow you all away. If anything is possible why not create a reality in which you can be happy and feel good. This is supreme. I don't feel we ever lose our desires/happiness. Without happiness you are lost.

Shared happiness is the key.

What good is happiness if not shared with someone? What good is happiness if you can't tell someone or allow someone to participate in your happiness.

If happy and alone is this not mania or euphoria mistaken for happiness?
