Having been one of the original 8 members of Art Bell's old Message Base where John Titor posted for months. Having been lucky enough to chat with Titor on the board and on IRC.

John Titor NEVER claimed that there would be race riots in 2003-04.

John did claim that 2005 we would START to see the Civil War between the Federal Government and Mid Westerns brew. It would be a 'slow burn' starting in 2005 with key events. We would then start to see 'waco' type stand offs spring up in 2005-2006 and the then in several years from then the FULL civil war would start.

Consider that BUSH has given the NSA/CIA full power to spy on its own people. Considring that the US government is starting to act more and more like a police state. This fits exactly what John Titor told us would be conditions to set off the civil war.

I really wish people would stop "adding their own" aggenda's to Titor's Story and stick to the facts.

There are no economic classes, black/white Protestant/Catholic, Gay/Straight are all living and working side by side in small town settings. Its HARD physical work. Working by hand in the farm fields picking and growing your own Community food. Which with the environmental changes caused by the nuke war in 2013-2014 is 12-14 hour days six days a week. Sundays are privat time for your family or yourself.

The Communitty even plays together. Dances, Sports, Pitch in picnics. etc etc

Individuality is a no no, you work for your community, you pull together for your community, you live breath and sometimes die for your communitty.

If you don't pull your own weight. Well your expelled by communitty vote, you get to wander in the radioactive waste lands. Which means death.

John stated that the divergence was as great as 4-8%. This divergence also made John Titor consider us not as HIS past but as phantoms. A Parallel universe/parallel timeline. Therefore he had no misgivings about 'screwing up our timeline' since it wouldn't affect his.

Real disruptions in world events begin with the destabilization of the West as a result of degrading US foreign policy and consistency. This becomes apparent around 2004 as civil unrest develops near the next presidential election. The Jewish population in Israel is not prepared for a true offensive war. They are prepared for the ultimate defense. Wavering western support for Israel is what gives Israel's neighbors the confidence to attack. The last resort for a defensive Israel and its offensive Arab neighbors is to use weapons of mass destruction. In the grand scheme of things, the war in the Middle East is a part of what's to come, not the cause.

John strongly hinted at that middle east terrorism and the fear of it would cause the Federal Government to sacrifice civil liberties in the United States. His favorite qoute was Benn Franklin 'A nation that sacrifices liberty in the name of security deserves neither liberty nor security."

According to John the Federal Government would begin a attack on civil liberties because of terrorism. As the people (especially those outside the major cities) begin to realize what is happening to the United States that "Republic" is dead replaced by a Police Like Centralized Federal Government. Its the last straw that breaks the back.

In John's Timeline (keep in mind the divergence)

2005 saw the rise of of militia movement in countryside. As the federal government starts 'Federalizing' the farms, the agriculture system and institution Draconian measures to "insure national security". People start fighting back, Again he described it as a 'slow burn.' Which we assumed was sabotage or resistance of some sort. John claimed in 2005 people began to have 'Waco' stand off's with the Federal Government in the country side.

This slow burn would escalate four some four years until the major cities start to experience food and resource shortages, even in some cases food riots. At which point the Federal Government (full police state at this point) declears the upcountry side as "domestic terrorists" and declears war on the country side. Totally imposes jack boot policies. Then the civil War goes "Hot" Bloody. John Titor stated it made the first Civil War seem like a kidder garden. The major cities on East and West Coast are attacked starved out, etc etc.

John never said it but implied it in his talks that he agreed with the Country Folk rebels side.

By 2012-2014 (his timeline) America has been at Hot civil war for four years. Its then foregin powers namely China begins to interfere with what is viewed as strictly internal matter of the United States. Again John "Implied" that China comes in on the side of Rebels. There is some sort of assistance that goes on. Yet by that time both the Federal Government and Rebels start to talk compromise. China then launches a "Surprise" limited Nuke attack on the US East and West Coast. Makes a grand door of the major cities, Washington, New York, L.A ect ect go up in mushroom clouds. The trade winds carry the radiation and fall out deep into the heart of the United States and basically the Federal Goverment and the Rebels end up living in a nuked America. Death rates for the USA reach 50-70%. John hints at the fact that after USA is finished with China (a counter attack) there is not much left of China. World wide economic collapse.

Everyone shuts their borders go isolationist. It becomes a Isolationist world as everyone seeks to save their own ass. America is left to rebuild on its own.

This is where both the Federalists and Rebels band together. The Civil War ends. A New United States Forms. With some really fasinating changes.

Such as we no longer have One President but Committee of Presidents. The United States forms distinct reigonal governments instead of state individual Sentate/Congresses. But with 60-70% of its population dead or dying America is no where near a super power. The general state of life in the United States is at a technological level of early 1800s.

People though start to band together into community towns. Around the Major University Towns. After all if your going to rebuild the USA you need the Intellectuals and Scientists of the Universities. These become as valuable as gold.

By John's time of departure (to our time) The United States is fast and deep into rebuilding. Yet they find most of their advanced technology useless due to a thing very similar to Y2K software failure. Though its not software but in the computer chips themselves. Time Travel according to John was found in our present time in CERN physics labs, the information by John's time is used to build working Time Machines. (See CERN Labs current reserach on mini-black hole formation) An thus in order to overcome their Y2K problems it is decided to send back Teams in their past and lift the computer chips before the Y2k like problem finds its way into every computer chip. (See Johh's assignment to lift a 1974 IBM computer)

Time Travel is not easy. You just can't punch in a date and off you go. Time travel takes place in a series of "jumps" and catching "jump windows" If you want to go back to 1974 from now. You have to jump backward in short periods because if you don't the arrival date will be so diverged from your history that you couldn't function. 50-60 years was the cut off anything longer then that was so divergent that you could say it was a bizarre world. Likewise you couldn't go into the future.

Thus John had completed his mission in 1974 and had jumped forward when he landed in 1998. There John decided to go AWOL while he waited to for his next Jump Window. He had several reasons.

One in addition to being Military he was an amature historian and wanted to record the key events leading up to the Civil War. Two, John wanted to find his counter self (him in our present time) and warn him and his family. In essence warn his family of the coming events.

Literally John Titor walked up the side walk of his parents home (today) near Jacksonville Florida, met himself (a five year old in 1998) playing on that side walk. One of them C.E.R.N ‘s discovery of mini black hole manufacture and discovery. The next one (in about two years will be the development of containment system for these mini black holes and who makes the discovery. Which I’m personally keeping a keen eye on *grin*

I'm not a supporter of any of them. In fact I know about how Titor was hoaxed, and Burisch and now Serpo was all hoaxed.

Its all part of the fun. They are all related.

I think we may have been closer to a civil war then many people realize
