The Mayan calendar thing only seemed to fail because most people didn't look into the details.

I just wrote another prophecy book (it should be in bookstores this month) so hopefully I've done enough years of research to know what I'm talking about:

The end of the Mayan Long Count on 12/21/2012 merely marks the beginning of a time of great troubles. For the Mayan end to come, their religion/myths say the Hero Twins have to be reborn and go through trials in the underworld, then resurrect their father, One Hunahpu.

In brief, the underworld is the night sky, the Hero Twins are Venus and Jupiter, they are reborn together in the right positions in November 2019, and they resurrect their father, the winter solstice sun, in late December 2019. Even the famous drawing on page 72 of the Dresden Codex of the Popul Vuh details an astronomical grouping not in effect in 2012, but in 2019.

The idea that the Maya respect a multi-year time of great troubles before the end is supported by the Maya view that the present world age began in 3114 BC while in India the Kali Yuga began in 3102 BC. Hindus date from the final event for TEOTW in 3102, the Maya date the transition with the earlier start of troubles, emphasizing teotwAWKI (or as their ancestors knew it)

This is also similar to the seven year tribulation in the Bible. Astronomical references to the end of times in the Bible clearly point to late December 2019. Exactly seven years earlier, to the day, was the Mayan end date in 2012. Again, the Maya appear to date their new world age from the beginning of the tribulation, and the Bible pins Judgment Day on the Last Day.

I know many will argue the tribulation obviously did not begin on 12/21/2012, seven years before my conclusive 2019 timeframe. Yes and no. I never expected a cataclysmic event on the exact Mayan date. Biblically, a seven year period merely means greater than six years but less than seven years. So if an obvious trib-starting event such as the destruction of New York or a nuclear war in the Middle East were to start in a week, or even in ten months, that would still fit between six and seven years before my date for Judgment Day in December 2019, and would still technically allow for a seven year tribulation (even though some would argue it is only six and a fraction years.)

In my opinion, top places to watch for fulfillment of prophecy in 2013 include Israel, Damascus-Syria, Iran, and New York.

Seriously mate, this thread & wishing for doom is so sad. Lucky for the rest of us your inability to manifest your internal world is a good thing. I'm in Tibet & just witnessed 200 monks chat from 1300 year old scripts in the garden of an ancient monastery. It was beautiful. Your world of doom wishing is coming to an end. Break the cycle or the cycle will eventually break you.

What about:

1. bills, dec 21 2012, had a lot of ppl fooled into thinking something was up.
2. no money/broke cause of the holidays?
3. no food, because no money to buy food?

I think that anyone who thinks things are good are heavily deluded and need help. You can dissect everything that is going on but the bottom line is the cause is evil and all things evil like greed, jealousy and selfishness. I pray that you all add this all up and quickly because I believe that the wrath of God is on its way and you really don't want to be left behind to experience what comes next. Admit that you're a sinner (we all are); accept that Jesus is your Lord and Savior and died to forgive us our sins; ask that your sins be forgiven and that you're sorry for them and then try to sin no more. That's it. That's all it takes is to believe and want to be saved. Please do it. I'm not joking.

There is ALWAYS doom. Because that is how it is living on Earth.

Past cultures knew this and educated themselves about it.

However, they weren't able to predict exactly when doom would strike. So it was known as an event that comes like a thief in the night. No one knew, not even their God.

If they tried to predict earthquakes, they get hit with a comet or some other unforeseen disaster.



So they learned to live happily and to accept if/when doom strikes.

Just like a pessimistic person feels something is wrong when they get a kidney stone. But nothing is wrong, the body is functioning as it should. Pains of healing.

Earth has similar concept, mass disaster is normal.


No one knows when it strikes or where it hits. It just does when it does.

If I remember reading correctly everything in your country is filtered much the same way as the great firewall of china. I am here to let you know the American people are not having guns taken away. As a matter of fact there is a Pennsylvania town proposing 2nd amendment protection law that will protect their right present and future against any attempts to infringe on a citizens rights. Illinois gun ban bill shot down in senate, gun sales according to FBI up 49% in December 2012, 19% for the year 2012. That is not taking guns away. That is Americans telling our Govt and the UN to piss off and the rest of you as well. Were trying to make a "Capitalist" statement at the moment. We are hoping this works, Thanks and enjoy the roo and hog problem you will have shortly, no guns to hunt the little bastards anymore eh?
