Are all your birds running around with their mouths hanging open?

Make sure you put some water out for the parrots!

Yeah, she sizzled down here today. For all those who don't know where Tassie is, we're the Southern most city in Aus, not too far from Antarctica- 41c (106f) has never happened here before, its pretty crazy...

Please everyone be safe and drink lots of water, check in on the elderly and stay in the shade.

AUSTRALIA is in the grip of an extreme heatwave with temperatures in two states set to soar past 40 degrees today - and the hot air will affect more of the country over the next week.

A "superheated" air mass flowing from the deserts of central Australia will push temperatures well above 40C across huge areas of Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and the Northern Territory into next week.

last week we got this in Perth- 5 days of 40c plus and hot nights. I couldnt exercise, go outside, walk anywhere and just sat under the airconditioner for the whole time. It completely fucked me. I'm still recovering.

Yup 44, lucky I covered my vegies and tomato plants with shade cloth yesterday ,,, Bunnings was nearly out of it..
even with the shade cloth they don't look happy ..
when out in the sun it was farrking hot.

Wonder how many oldies die cause of the fakely high induced electricity prices today that cant afford to use their air conditioning. The Greenies will be proud.

The summers in Australia are becoming COOLER

Twenty years ago we had high 30s for weeks

Now, high 30s is a rarity

Comments section in the sensationalistic news articles are tipping shit on all the drama and calling out the whore media

Woman in central queensland says when she was a kid, the mercury used to hit mid 40s. They used to fill the bath with ice cubes. Now, she says, it was only 27 degrees today with a cool breeze. She says they still have blankets on the beds

I can remember days of 100 deg. F. when I was a kid here in Perth. Not a cloud in the sky and stinking hot at night.

I think Western Australia is going to turn to desert - like Morocco. Just sand and ocean.

Most these guys must be young lol 40+ a few years ago then 40+ a few years before that. 44 45 not to bad at all.

Tbh last night was one of the best star gazing nights in a long time. Spotted on average 20 to 30 shooting stars an hour. The Iss was clear looked like I could just reach up and grab it.

Only 31 today so not to bad again.
