Re: Can't stop crying
Normally i have no problem relating to these type of threads, but every time i start spending less time on here i feel fine again.

Don't get me wrong i love this site and some people on here but sometimes just taking a break from GLP works wonders on your perspective.
 Quoting: Dapurps

You are my opposite dude. The weight of depression comes upon my shoulder mightily even when I think of the absence of internet forums especially GLP from the face of the cyber world.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1151390

Well then your depression has another source. So does mine. GLP just adds to it once in a while.

Yes OP

We are all becoming more cold towards each other because we all know we have strayed away from nature.

The internet has connected us all but at the same time has driven a wedge between our human nature.

We must balance.

I know there are those who will disagree with me and that's fine. But everything is exactly as it should be. There is a balance in the universe that supercedes everything. Up has a down...left has a right...everything counters everything. Point being...fear not Op everything is perfect in a universal sense. We are part of this universe...we ouselves are not perfect...but if you accept your existence as part of that balanced and perfect universe you should feel a little more at ease.

It works for me anyways.

I can sympathize with your feelings, OP, I haven't been going through what you have been lately, but I know many have. You're not alone! Things will get better. There's some really good advice on this thread, I tend to agree with the suggestions of pulling back from stuff to re-center, when needed. Hang in there, best of luck, and my thoughts are with ya! hugs

Try vitamins B12 and D3. These two vitamins are often lacking in the winter, some folks more than others, depending upon where you live. It will take a few works for the D3 to start working, but once it does, you will feel better.

I also seem to feel sad after the holidays are all over- me, who loves lights, decorations, Christmas Carols, hfhfand Christmas cards, I get upset when I have to take them down and put them away for another 11 months. :( All this hype, starting with the fun times of Halloween, dinner at Thanksgiving, getting ready for Christmas, and New Years, and then..........nothing until another depressing day comes up for some people- Valentine's Day, lol.

Best of luck to you and I hope you feel better soon.

Try some St. Johns Wort at the Health Food Store.

Or Goldenseal, or both.

They are Herbs, non Pharmaceutical might be able to help.

At night try some Valerian Root.

I feel like I am becoming more fragile & ill- equipped to survive here by the minute. I hoped for something, but, instead of a softening of ego, awakening in the masses, i see a hardening of the people here. I am running out of reasons to fight & I feel more at peace with going home, even tho I don't really know what that entails for me. Anyone else really suffering these past few weeks?

A few thoughts -

1) It's winter. Less sunlight = depression

2) You can complain about things that are out of your control, but that accomplishes nothing. On the other hand, you can complain about things that are in your control or you can take action and do something.

3) You suffer from Caucasian syndrome.

That's right, we've had it, and all your enlightenment, ascending to a higher level talk, and all the 2012's of the world have not set us free, or given us any divine intervention.

We are coming to the realization, that no one is going to save us, not holding hands, or singing, or thinking positive little thoughts while we are financially raped, oppressed, droned, NDAA, TSA'd spied upon, tracked, and told to hold on for the next disaster to set us all free.

We all fucking hate our lives, and all your sissy bullshit bedtime stories about waking up, and all have no rubber meeting the road, they lack action, they are meaningless words while our families are being financially gang raped.

Everything, and I do mean everything is a damn lie.

Get your adrenal function tested.

When those glands (that sit on top of your kidneys and are essential for coping with life and living) start to malfunction (more/or less hormone release from them).. symptoms begin as feelings of not being able to cope, feeling down, not handling stress, jittery feelings, progressing to more uncomfortable physical symptoms..

...stress actually is the biggest cause of them going out of whack.

Truly...have an adrenal function test.
Read up on them.

I know you meant well but sorry, without knowing a person's condition suggesting stuff like you just have could cause more imbalance.

St john's wort only should be used for a few weeks and then stopped for a while if taken at all - a lot of conditions don't respond well to that herb.

Epsom bath's shouldn't be used by people who have aldosterone imbalances...or kidney issues.

Physical exertion should not be suggested for a persons with adrenal fatigue/insufficiency for instance - which OP sounds like - with feeling 'ill equipped to survive'...cortisol is THE 'survival' hormone of the body. Exerting already 'tired' adrenals only atrophies their function more.

Cry as much as you need to - let it all out. It's part of consciously acknowledging those emotions and releasing them. It's therapeutic.

Try listening to some classical music to help distract & relax your mind... Take a break from 'doom' and GLP if you need to and go pet a furry animal friend.

 Quoting: ANHEDONIC

THIS is amazingly healing for many people, OP. Borrow someone's pet or have them visit if you don't have one of your own.

If you are able to, please consider providing a foster home for a rescued homeless pet. Contact a local animal rescue group or a no kill shelter. Usually homeless pet foster parents are provided animal food and vet care, so don't worry about the expense unless you decide to adopt the animal yourself, of course. It will make you feel so good to give a nice dog or cat a chance to find a forever home.
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

Excellent advice....when I am down my cat and my dog always seem to know it and they come and give me love. OP, I know how you feel, been there too. One thing for sure is that it is a normal cycle, meaning it is just like the old saying, after the storm comes the sunshine. I will be sending prayers for you honey. You are loved in more ways than you know. Also, you are going through this so that you can in turn help someone who will feel like you do now. How else would you know how to help them. Love and hugs to you sweetheart, at least you know you have a heart and it feels, that is a victory in itself.!!! <3
The problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude about the problem.

OP I know its hard at times... but you gotta keep strong!
I wish I had a way of giving you my ebook... its on amazon for a buck... but i dont wanna link to it... i dont wanna appear to spam... money grab on here...

I cant just post the contents on here either... I got a 90 day exclusive agreement with amazong... but i dont think its a breech for posting two tips ;)

Survival Step 3:
Relax! What makes you relax? A day at the beach? A weekend cabin retreat? Those are nice and relaxing but not practically affordable on an everyday budget to the 99% of us. (See what I did there? Haha)

So while it’s awesome if you can afford that cabin or day at the beach! You need to find what “small things” help you relax. Things that you can do daily, things you can afford. Take at least 5 minutes just for you. Shut out the world and relax!
For me it’s a hot cup of coffee and music sitting back and closing my eyes and letting my soul fly to the beat of the drums and the warmth of the coffee.

Find your small thing to help you relax. Bubble Baths, Your favorite TV Show, A Walk, Painting, Playing Guitar, Video Games. Whatever you choose, make that time just for you. Even if you just spend 5 minutes staring at your ceiling. It’s your time! Do it!

Survival Step 4:
Keep Busy. Always remember Survival Step 3 and do not let Survival Step 4 conflict with it.
Keep your mind active, take up a new hobby, learn something new, or just exercise. Do something to keep you focused… Rather do something to keep you from focusing on life. Life has a harder time kicking you if you are running… So keep busy!

I find that I don’t get as depressed if I stay busy! There are so many things you can do! googol “DIY” and find yourself a weekend project to tinker with. If you pick a method of keeping busy that has end result it will have more effect on you. For example if your way of keeping busy is building a birdhouse, once you are finished its something you can physically see. That will make you feel awesome!

I like painting, that one of the things I do to keep busy. You may hate painting? But find what YOU like.

If you live in an area where you can plant a garden that a great way of keeping busy! Its exercise, rewarding and you get to eat some tasty vegetables.

maybe that helps? i wish you all the luck! The sun will shine again! :)
