Ill tell you straight. 2 adults one working 4 days a week 32 hours earning £500, we have 2 children 3 the eldest. We have Sky TV and Internet ontop of unavoidable bills. Rent £300pm, Tax £125pm, Water £60pm, Gas/ Electric can be as much as £100pm. We get £300 benefit a month divided weekly.
pm = per month. Just to add were both White English living in a small rural town on a council estate.
So thats roughly £800 income and £550 outgoing plus we pay finances for kitchen appliances, PC, TV and any other hardware we need because we cant pay outright. We generally have £200-£150 for 4 weeks.

4 pints of milk is £1.15 in our local, 50g of tobacco is at least £15 and meat is usually on offers like 3 packs for £10 (2 breasts, mince, chops) Pasta sauce £1-£3 just for reference fruit and veg range from 50p to £5 depending on quantity and quality, for reference.
