You must not have been to a Lexus dealership. We go through incredibly extensive training on the cars at out of state locations. As far as the roaches to the other poster, not so much at the highline dealers.

That's old school buddy. I'm sure there's still some out there that do but i haven'tseen any salesmen like that in a while. Constant random drug tests.

Extensive training? For real? You don't need to be trained on shit to sell a car. In fact, the key to selling cars is to talk about anything besides the car. As soon as I would come back from the desk I would sit the paper up side down and just bullshit about whatever until the 'up' (customer) was begging me to see what the offer was.

I will be honest, some of the better protection packages that dealers sell are really worth it. We went to our distributors HQ and they lit the hood of the car on fire, it just wiped right off. They clay the car, which is good because your pain job has microscopic pits in it that the clay fills and then get's sealed in. The undercoating protects from early rust development from rocks getting kicked up and scratching the underside.

Bird shit, tree sap... all that shit eats away at your crappy paint job. It is not the Dealers, or the manufacturers fault either, the EPA changed the standard on auto paint many years ago. Modern auto paint is shit.

There will be lot # color ect. there will be a series of numbers such as (A899500B) or (C139500P) the numbers indicate to the sales person what the bottom line is on the vehicle without having to check the list or go inside.
