Problem is how do we measure a 16 hours "day"? With cesium clocks we know measuring at the same "time" the ones inside airplanes from west to east do have a different ticking than the ones which go from east to west and the ones on the surface of the earth and the clocks on the moon. That is interpreted as measuring "time" while it could be just an indication cesium clock it's been altered by gravity or whatever reason. Einstein believed gravity is an illusion due to the deformation of space. Unfortunateky we ignore what the heck is space, the vaccum of the universe, the struggle between dark energy expanding the cosmos versus dark matter keeping the universe as it is...which has absolutely no evidence at all. We ignore if the mass of neutrinos is enough, we ignore the number of dimensions if ever exist, the Planck dimension is hypothetical trillion times smaller than a proton who nobody ever saw, etc, etc, etc. So, that Einstein's space disolves like sand dropping off from between the fingers of a hand. Centripatal force is mass times velocity squared over the radius of rotation. Radius is 6400 km and the speed of rotation at the equator on the surface is 1667 km/h (463m/s). Objects will experience around 0.3% reduction in weight at the equator, and knowing that the speed is increasing by three times then we know the weight reduction increases 9 times ( (3v)squared is 9(v)squared ). Thus you get around a 3% weight reduction at 3 times the current rotation speed of the earth. The earth has to spin over 18 times faster in order for objects to experience 100% weight reduction (18 x 18 = 324... 324 x 0.003 = 0.972... 97% weight reduction.) This is a day and night in about 80 minutes. |
