Gravity comes from the planets mass, not it's rotational speed. The days would simply be faster and we'd need to revise our 24 hour clock.

Storms would be beyond severe and all forests would be defoliated. And in a 24 hr period you would witness 3 periods of daylight and three periods of darkness. It would also cause rapid evolutionary changes in all life on this planet.

 Quoting: DUCM900

You would lose no gravity force.
More of it would be countered by a centrifugal force pointing in the opposite direction.
(ETA: or rather pointing at a right angle with the Earth's axis, which is directly away from the centre of the Earth where the force is strongest.)
How much depends on your latitude.

At the equator your weight reduction caused by the centrifugal force would increase from 0.346% to ~1%.
This would be measurable.
On the poles no effect of course.

Review your maths:

g' = g - a = g - w^2 · R · cos^2(A)

Where

g'= effective gravity
g = standard gravity = 9.80665 m/s^2
a = centrifugal acceleration
w = The angular speed of Earth's rotation in inertial space (with regard to the Earth radius)
R = Earth's equatorial radius = 6378.137 km = 6378137 m
A = latitude

If the spin is three times greater than the current angular speed of Earth's rotation (7.292 · 10^(-5) rad/s), then

w = 21.876 · 10^(-5) rad/s
w^2 = 478.55938 · 10^(-10) rad/s

And, hence, at equator

a = w^2 · R = 0.3052317 m/s^2

And, hence, at equator

g' = (9.80665 - 0.3052317) m/s^2 = 9.50142 m/s^2 that is

96.88750 % of the value of g

Thus the weight reduction, at equator, caused by an angular speed of Earth's rotation three times faster than the current would be, approximately, of a 3.11% . Of course, as you said, at the poles there would be no effect.

In any case, negligible.

Depends on how fast the increase in rotational velocity happened.

At once ?

Check the maths of my post.

The key is

Centrifugal acceleration = w^2 · R · cos^2(A)

g' = g - w^2 · R · cos^2(A)

You raise to the square the angular speed w to calculate the centrifugal acceleration. So, if you multiply by 3 the current angular speed (the premise of the problem), then the w^2 (centrifugal acceleration) increases by 9, the other factors being equal (Earth's radius (R), latitude (A)).

Re: What Happen If The Earth Start To Spin 3 Times Faster Than The Current Spin Speed On Its Axis?
The days will get "shorter" and reduced to less than 24 hours. Problem is how do we measure a 16 hours "day"? With cesium clocks we know measuring at the same "time" the ones inside airplanes from west to east do have a different ticking than the ones which go from east to west and the ones on the surface of the earth and the clocks on the moon. That is interpreted as measuring "time" while it could be just an indication cesium clock it's been altered by gravity or whatever reason. Einstein believed gravity is an illusion due to the deformation of space. Unfortunateky we ignore what the heck is space, the vaccum of the universe, the struggle between dark energy expanding the cosmos versus dark matter keeping the universe as it is...which has absolutely no evidence at all. We ignore if the mass of neutrinos is enough, we ignore the number of dimensions if ever exist, the Planck dimension is hypothetical trillion times smaller than a proton who nobody ever saw, etc, etc, etc. So, that Einstein's space disolves like sand dropping off from between the fingers of a hand.
I believe these periods of long nights and long days will be witnessed like Joshua's days which was mistranslated as the sun and moon being "still"... of course that was just a point of view from one side of the world while the chronicles and accounts of the same event were seen in the other side of the world like a long night which lasted "a day long". Even in XXI century we discuss about astronauts "ascending" though the sky is not really "up" but a perspective taking into consideration the surface of the earth, hence sunrising and sun setting.
I also agree tornadoes, storms would be terrible and florest would be swept away and people living in earth's belly Equator area would be slightly lighter due to centrifuge force... like a washing machine or those G accelerating machines.

Not sure if both of you would be willing to do this for me – and if yes… what conditions would need to be present on earth to make a 150 pound person float?

I have a reoccurring dream since childhood, in which I’m almost weightless and I have to use my fingers to propel myself from one crack in a sidewalk to another to move forward while my body is floating. If I let go, I would float up very slowly and have to grab a tree branch to stop from floating away. Virtually no strength is needed to hold on, but if you let go you begin to float upward.

The dream has bothered me for years and I’ve always wondered what would have to be happening to the earth to have a condition to cause that effect.

By the time Earth spins fast enough to make you weightless (presuming the planet hasn't melted and is still in one piece) the air itself would disappear into space.
Not a stable situation.

If the force of gravity were reduced to a fraction of a percent not just your weight but the weight of the air around and above you would be reduced as well.
Your buoyancy wouldn't increase.

The only way I can think off is the body itself somehow reducing its weight to a fraction of gramme, or if it exerts a force at a distance against the ground.
No known way how that could happen so that would basically be a superpower.

There have been some reports of people being able to levitate, but it has never been done in front of a battery of scientific equipment.

How much gravity force we'll lose?

YOU tell me please.

:science:
 Quoting: DUCM900

For a simpler calculation... Centripatal force is mass times velocity squared over the radius of rotation. Radius is 6400 km and the speed of rotation at the equator on the surface is 1667 km/h (463m/s). Objects will experience around 0.3% reduction in weight at the equator, and knowing that the speed is increasing by three times then we know the weight reduction increases 9 times ( (3v)squared is 9(v)squared ). Thus you get around a 3% weight reduction at 3 times the current rotation speed of the earth.

The earth has to spin over 18 times faster in order for objects to experience 100% weight reduction (18 x 18 = 324... 324 x 0.003 = 0.972... 97% weight reduction.) This is a day and night in about 80 minutes.
