considering the age and expanse of the universe, it's likely that there are incredibly advanced alien civilizations out there (much older than us) with star-gate technologies that allow instant inter-stellar travel. i mean, if our technology was allowed to evolve for another couple of thousand years, we too would be traveling to distant stars. but think about the almost infinite number of stars there are out there, and consider the odds of aliens coming here. the odds are very slim. our solar system is nothing but a grain of sand in the sahara desert. it's more likely that they don't even know we exist.

it could take millions or even billions of years for a visitation, but then they could also arrive here in the next hour.

There is zero evidence of other life elsewhere, and there is zero evidence for materialistic evolution. It is unscientific and illogical. It is not based on logic. On the contrary, logic dictates...nay..demands..a supernatural, non material (Spiritual) Creator.

Throw away logic if you will, but don't then presume to claim that logic supports your beliefs, because it doesn't.

Just the existence of 'information' as a non material entity confines all materialistic evolution to the garbage bin.

You are free to believe whatever you want, once you throw away logic. For an example...if you are interested...see this video. It is part 2 in a 6 part series.

This, of course, is nonsense taken to the extremes.

"There is zero evidence of other life elsewhere"

Have you ever heard of; The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence?

In simpler terms; you are full of shit and shouldn't use the word logical because people like you do not reason with logic.

In fact, logic dictates that somewhere there HAS to be other life. Microscopic in most places, life nontheless. But logic also dictates that space is so freaking huge, that it is more likely that we will never come across beings from another planet because of the mind boggling distances they or we would have to cross to reach one another.

"Logic dictates a creator"

SETI just spent the last 30 years proving that no radio emitting civilizations exist within a 1000 light years of Earth

They ran out of "near by" stars to look at.

When people insist that "Life is inevitable" on other worlds I ,make the following point

Conditions on Earth are perfect for the creation of life

We are warm enough for liquid water , cool enough for complex chemistry

Planet is the right size to produce and hold a dense atmosphere ( but not too dense or sunlight would be blocked)

We have a couple of gas giants that cleared out enough asteroids that Earth isn't pummeled every year , but they left enough for Earth to form

Our sun is the right size

Basically there are thousands of critical variables that came out right to produce a planet that can create life.

Ask any scientist and they'll tell you that Earth is the "perfect machine" for creating life

And in its 4.5 billion year life , Earth has created life JUST ONCE

All life on Earth is descended from the same DNA molecule

There are no exceptions

There are no "independently evolved" life forms on earth

There's no "alternatives" to the DNA thats inside all living cells.

If the scientist who predict that life is abundant "out there" are right , we should see biology alien to our own RIGHT HERE.

Where's the "Non-DNA" life forms?

Where's the cells that run on a "Different chemistry"?

Because what happened on Earth is EXTREMELY rare, the odds of it happening were so low theres a real chance that it was the first ( and last ) time it ever happened.

Of course, you deny that...and you are going to show me (us) the evidence for your claim, since you state it so boldly, no?

There is no evidence. None.

And logic, through scientifically demonstrable and proven statistics, proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that there is not even enough time in the whole history of the universe for even one protein to evolve the information it contains, by itself.

Even Watson, (Crick and Watson, who basically discovered the genome) admits that.

But you know better.

Do some research into real science. By real science I mean science in terms of what the observable evidence actually shows, not simply what you are preconditioned to believe.

Then decide.

Intelligent life will not always be physical, life can form anywhere even in sulphur pits at the bottom of the ocean with That much density.

Intelligent life could come in the form of gas, liquid, light. Anything! We cant fathom anything!!!

Even with SETI trying to find frequencies broadcast out in space, they can't measure every single frequency! Hell our ability to measure matter is a joke! The pitiful amount we can see with our own eyes is even funnier!!!

Alien races would most likely be worse than our own.

Why would you want a potential very aggressive race coming here?

Don't we already have enough hate and death in this world without adding to it?

Don't you think that if a species learnt to travel millions of lightyears through space they might have evolved a little more than us? Maybe they realised the way to a better world was not through violence and aggression but through co-operation.

On the contrary. There is life everywhere on earth, Close to underwater volcano's living without oxygen, living deep in the ocean under heavy pressure, high up in the atmosphere and everywhere between. Life is very adaptable. Thats one thing we can say for sure.
Fungi spores can travel thru space.
Besides, just because you are only familiar to carbon based lifeforms, doesn't mean there aren't other, like silicon based lifeforms for example.

Definitely and likely are definitely not the same thing.

We know of nothing that would prohibit intelligent life to evolve elsewhere.
But our knowledge is rather limited.

You mean civilisations that are deliberately emitting high-powered radio signals.
At the time they were looking.

You couldn't detect Earth's artificial EM emission from more than a lightyear away unless you happened to be listening at exactly the right moment and from exactly the right direction.
It would be a fluke discovery.

And a bubble of space 2,000 ly across is tiny.

Seems to me the people who control the 'evidence' would not allow you to see such evidence if did indeed exist, so your call for evidence from members of the general public is a little disingenous.

If there was complete transparency and honesty among the leaders of our civilization, then your claim would be valid, but obviously we know that's not the case.

You really think there are thousands of scientists out there, trying to make a living...scratching their heads in frustration trying to offer some results of their life's work...and all this time they have the evidence, and are deliberately concealing it?

That does make for a great conspiracy, I'll grant you that.
