Idaho is looking better and better.....

Brrrrrrr!! But I hear ya. I was just checking out southern Utah as they are one of the green states, but don't know if I could stand the continual LDS mentality. They seem to be good people and have been preppers since they started but I'm not part of their "club". Idaho is so dang cold, though. And Arizona, well maybe, but I have a feeling that state is going to be punished. The Gov is so up in Obongo's face about everything, he doesn't like having people stand up to him like that. "Revenge is a dish best served cold."

My Tennessee passed this in 2009 by a huge majority. It was almost unanimous. The ATF wasted no time sending a letter to every gun dealer in the state threatening them.

It's a stand off and our governor is too damn wimpy. If push came to shove Haslam would cave and it would be up to each local sheriff on their own to protect the people from the federal government.

Yep. New England, IL, and CA were too far gone a long time ago. Your best bet is to move to a free state at this point. You would be welcomed. The politics you left would not. That's the trouble with so many transplants. They leave to get away from the results of their state's tyranny, but then expect and vote for the same kind of liberal progressive politicians they always did back home.

... also please learn to say "reckon" and "fixin' to" if you move South. It will ease your transition and be a good show of faith.

The 8 states that have passed this will be the battleground.

States rights is going to be one of the biggest issues in the coming year.

The other states who have NOT passed this BEFORE the feds strike down the 2nd amendment will be screwed.

I am so surprised that Texas NEVER passed this.

Also right after that was when the feds set up the roadside TSA "VIPER" checkpoints.

This is going to get nasty.

Yeah, I think that was tit for tat test. The VIPER checkpoint was only for commercial heavy trucks at checkpoints they are alreay required to stop at, but it was certainly the Fed flexing it's tyranny muscle.

I remember this.
They said any gun or ammo made in TN that stayed in TN could not be regulated by intrastate commerce clause. I believe the feds said so what. We'll arrest you anyway, if I am not mistaken

This I agree with, but Haslam caves to public pressure as well. A few hundred people on legislative square caused him to reverse course on one issue recently (can't remember exact issue, but watched the demonstrators from my office window).

This is a big enough issue withe the entire legislature behind it that I think Haslam would be forced to do the "right thing" when push came to shove.

Apparently it never came up in the state legislature.
I think we only have 1 gun manufacturer in the state anyway, and it's a small custom deal.

Watch for them to start popping up. Barrett is located just down the road from me. They're a bit pricey, but I'm guessing that's where I will be buying my next one.

If all you guys don't get it together and join the NRA really quick and stand together its over. Don't waste any more time doing it.

They are well funded and a organization that has been solely dedicated to keeping Americans and their guns together for decades.

Strength in numbers. Get with the program right now. Not next week. Not next month. NOW
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21416502

I agree it may be time for folks to join the NRA to help fund the national fight; however, I think it equally important for us to focus on local/state coalitions as well. If the Bolsheviks succeed at the National level, the commies will have won and the NRA will have failed. We will need more than a website and 1-800 number to bring us together and local coalitions are the only way to accomplish this.

Ours is a great state for many reasons but, our so called conservatives aren't what people think they are, I think even though they passed the FFA they would cave to federal pressure quicker than a new york minute.
