Texan Buckeye User ID: 1533753 United States 01/05/2013 12:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why is it so hard for people to understand what this 4 minute video proves to be true??? Quoting: Desert Fox Hey Desert Fox. I watched the video. I've been thinking about this for awhile and I've come up with a couple of ideas. I think people have been dumbed down SO much, they don't even believe in themselves, let alone others. People don't believe that others are still honorable, sensible, and are not running around like characters in a video game. Just because one owns a firearm, doesn't mean one is running around just looking for someone to shoot. We live out in the sticks, with coyotes that like to come right up to the door, poisonous snakes, big cats (not the kitteh type!LOL), feral pigs, strange people that may or may not be harmless, and a very large county with few deputies. Our nearest neighbor is about a mile away. The only people I can count on live right here. The law is just too far away, usually. I know almost all of them, they are good guys and I trust them. They just can't get here soon enough to help. I grew up with guns in the house, but I didn't learn to shoot until I was 19. I'll never go to Camp Perry for the rifle matches, but I will hit whatever I'm aiming for. The first thing I learned as a child was never point the toy guns at anyone and later, never draw your weapon unless you intend to use it. Too many people have learned to like the taste of kool-aid and have forgotten their roots. |

Too many people, cars, houses, even my beloved trees! Just too much. It's a nice place to visit, but I get to missing my wide open spaces. OT, thanks! We, the generation after you, know the support you guys gave all of us mil. families over the years. The best mil. wife lessons I ever got were from Vietnam mil. wives. The best firearm instructors I ever had were Vietnam vets. |

It's changed so much since I started down this road. When the latest round started, I was worried about the kids in now. They don't get the same kind of training, it's not allowed. I was organist/choir director for a couple of years at Parris Island, Wpns Training Battalion. It's so PC now and the AF is worse. Even 20 years ago, I saw students at an AF school dancing around when colors was played. Pissed me off. If I hadn't been in a car, too far away from them, I'd have dressed them down. It kills them when a DW does that! I didn't have anywhere to pull over at the time. The training they get these days just doesn't sustain them. There is little discipline or respect for themselves, country, or others. It really IS a video game for most of them. It has been for a very long time. After that it's the razor wire, the bengal tigers, the roaming lazor maze, followed by the trained ninja attack monkeys, the R.O.U.S's and the Sarlacc living in the great pit of carkoon. The gun isn't even like a line until 12th or 13th. |

It is as simple as that, their choice, leave me alone or suffer the consequences.
