You do realize that they had aircraft flying and landing automatically with a computer with far less powerful than an IPOD? Some of these aircraft are still flying today with those old computers.

The full resolution pic over the raw one is interesting, something looks buried there, the protrusions, small knobs, a part off something slightly ne in the shot of said flower with two shaftlike projections coming out of either side

Its not a flower for a start what does a flower need to survive and grow, it looks buried for a start and there is more underneath ,it kinda looks like a heat resistant foilglove with part of the finger showing obviously empty

If it was a "flower" there would not just be one growing in a rock or dirt ,there is some other explanation and NASA would never say what it really is , "flower" what a load of utter crap ,they know what it is but don't want too upset the religous folk ,ie muslims or christians .

It would have to go thru Nasa, then thru the government, then thru some other godforsaken agency ,then to us after various bits have been taken out so live stream is more like piss take

I remember about an image being taken on Martian rock which showed evidence of past life e.g. crinoids and guess what happened to the rock face?

Past sea flowers may be, very small cactus more likely now though on Mars if plant life can be found.

If we went to the moon today, in 40 years a conspiracy nut would be trying to figure out how we could have sent a person to the moon with computers thousand of times weaker than their future smartphone. It's just ignorant. The NASA computers were powerful enough to to the calculations they needed. They were just not powerful enough to have fancy graphics.
