When I sobered up it hurt like hell and swelled up to almost the size of my big toe. There's nothing you can do either If something can corrupt you, you're corrupted already. It is used on horses with great results for painful muscles and tendons. You can get a small jar for under $10. You have to be careful with it though, because not only does it relieve pain but it pulls microscopic things on the surface of your skin into your flesh and consequently possibly into your bloodstream. So you want to make sure your toe & surrounding area is very clean, as well as your hands. DO NOT wear rubber or latex gloves when applying because it pulls residue from them into your skin. Don't know how often to put it on; you should do a search on this stuff. I've used it every couple of hours or so when I needed it. You might call a good health food store and ask if they have it, or see what else they might have that might be as effective.
