OH that shit hurts !!! Broke mine on a metal chair leg several years ago. Its still points east when i face north .

I did that once while camping. When I sobered up it hurt like hell and swelled up to almost the size of my big toe. There's nothing you can do either

Yeah, I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and nailed it on the corner of the bed. It sounded like a twig snapping. Pretty gross.

Well I did tape it to a "buddy" :p so hopefully it points in the right direction!

Better call a tow truck.

Ice and Anti-Inflammatories (Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Naproxen Sodium)

you can tape if need be for a few days but generally it's better if you can avoid it.

Also if it's really painful it's best to keep your foot elevated and keep off of it as much as possible

Mine was broken too--dropped a gasoline pump handle on it.

If you can get to a feed store or have someone go for you, buy some DMSO and rub it on. It is used on horses with great results for painful muscles and tendons. You can get a small jar for under $10.

You have to be careful with it though, because not only does it relieve pain but it pulls microscopic things on the surface of your skin into your flesh and consequently possibly into your bloodstream.

So you want to make sure your toe & surrounding area is very clean, as well as your hands. DO NOT wear rubber or latex gloves when applying because it pulls residue from them into your skin.

Don't know how often to put it on; you should do a search on this stuff. I've used it every couple of hours or so when I needed it.

You might call a good health food store and ask if they have it, or see what else they might have that might be as effective.

Yup, as funny as it sounds, you tape it to the toe
beside it, don't put too much pressure on that foot,
put some ice on the swelling and it should heal up
just fine. Hope it gets better soon...I feel for ya...
husband had a broken toe once..not fun at all.

best remedy is comfrey. if u live in a warm climate u take the leaves and put them thru a grinder 2 make a poultice. put some in the fridge 4 awhile and then on your toe with paper towel or clean cloth and wrap with tape. pain gone. healing started. when poultice drys repeat until healed. if u can't find any in your area. get comfrey root and make poultice. probably even better. good luck. keep smiling its 2013

first time damn near ripped it off!

the second time I dropped a 10 pound wight on my foot and got it... hurts like hell...
