That's not how time travel works. There is incredibly little control over the process, aside from choosing to ramp up energy, which causes the traveling. I will give you a glimpse into the experience of it: when time traveling, your world stays the same, you are still moving forward through time as always, but various aspects of the outer world change to a slightly older time. Or not so slightly, such as a 50 year jump.

Imagine walking through a downtown area. Some of the buildings will be connected multidimensionally, and can be from an older time. It's not a choice which ones...the dimensions respond to the ramped up energy, and to an open state of mind. It helps incredibly to be in a city you don't have any experience with.

This is moreso a trick of the human body in its relation to the external environment, than it is outer objects shifting to another time. The human body creates all external experience in relation with the mind (which is set in its ways, in order to maintain sanity). Since the outer world is entirely a projection, it can be changed, but only in line with what the mind says and what the collective mind knows.

There will be guardians that you will recognize in certain ways when entering the time shifted environments. The environment may not be completely time shifted, and will be kind of a jarring experience to see such a disparity between what once was and what currently is.

The shifts can also relate to alternative realities, as well as possibly the future. You may not like what you see...and when the energy is back to normal, you may notice that those things are now pretty much gone forever from your experience. Because they were only there due to a change in perception.
