Not the same person. The SAG Gene Rosen lives in California not Connecticut.

Heck, when it comes down to it -- NO WAY someone in that situation would NOT call the police. Children just witnessed murder, and you don't call police IMMEDIATELY? how'd the guy EVER get lauded as a hero? Why didn't one journalist ask him if he called police and why not? It just proves all these journalists are complete shams!

Is it unreasonable to expect SOMEONE to come forward and corroborate Rosen's story? The kids, their parents, the bus driver? Wouldn't the heartwarming reunion he was hoping for be a big media event?

Re: Gene Rosen ... Grieving Town Grandfather, or Bad 'Crisis Actor'
Someone wonders how Gene Rosen avoided seeing all the cars around the firehouse and school when he found the children.

Okay, a simple bit of logic here. He found the children shortly after 9:30 AM. Think carefully, person who criticized Mr. Rosen for not seeing all sorts of vehicles when he found the children. Could it possibly be BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT THERE YET? Duh! The police did not show up until later, and the cars did not start building up until closer to 10 AM. Geez. Use some logic. The cars did not magically appear moments after the shooting began.

As for the individual who says that Gene Rosen is changing his story and his emotions, and then cites all sorts of made-up "facts" to support his position, I suggest you are wrong. Memory is a funny thing, and memory under shock is even stranger. It IS a fact that if a group of people witness a shocking event, such as a shooting, that the perceptions of each person will be different. People will see and remember different things, which may or may not be accurate. I am sure Gene Rosen was confused and shocked by the events of the day and things that initially were trivial or unimportant at the time he may have remembered differently with time. Such changes in recollection are not unusual, they are normal. Ask anyone who has been through a traumatic event.

All this hype and conspiracy theory about this event is ridiculous. All the people are doing who are twisting the events of the day are doing is stressing out the families of the victims. You people should stop looking for conspiracies where none exist and get a life.

Let me guess, some of you believe the holocaust never happened either, and that Elvis lives in outer space with aliens.

Seriously, you people need to wake up from your little fantasy world.

Wait a minute, time out! Is this yet *ANOTHER* iteration of Rosen's involvement in this event. Now the man witnessed the shooting itself? He did not merely happen upon the children on his front lawn (something that would entail no significant trauma), but he actually witnessed the "shocking event" of the "shooting?" How did this creep into the storyline? Also, there is now the pendency of "time," when all of these interviews were conducted in a brief succession shortly following the purported event?

As for different people having different perceptions of events, that is, of course, irrelevant. Rosen is not being scrutinized for telling a version of events that differs from that of others, but rather for telling a half-dozen different versions of an event from his singular perspective. The differences between Rosen's recounts are substantial and fundamental to his recount, involving points of great particularity and significance; they are not merely "details" that may become skewed in the retelling (as you are well aware).

If you seriously believe that it is normal for a person with published notices of his work in public media and the performing arts to appear in the midst of an event of this magnitude, tell wildly contradictory and highly implausible stories about his involvement (which he purports to have occurred at a significant remove from any trauma-inducing incidents), and roundly lie about his background and association with the local school system and mental health institutions, then I think you are the one who needs the reality check. Obviously, your assertion that anyone who finds such extraordinary nonsense suspicious must, perforce of their suspicion, be mentally ill, reveals you to be the one who is mentally unbalanced (assuming you were writing in earnest, which I strongly doubt).

"Okay, a simple bit of logic here."
- Oh, good, finally some logic from a Gene Rosen apologist!

"He found the children shortly after 9:30 AM."
- Oh crap, no logic, just more bullshit. Actually, Rosen is purported to have found the children after 9:45AM, ~10 minutes after Lanza is alleged to have ceased firing in their classroom.

"Could it possibly be BECAUSE [THE VEHICLES] WERE NOT THERE YET?"
- No, not according to the official timeline. By the time Rosen supposedly found the children (regardless of which of his several versions you accept), the streets were supposedly filled with vehicles and the sound of wailing sirens (which supposedly began sounding before 9:40AM).

"Duh!"
_ I agree, that sums up your post quite aptly!
