Well, what have we done to ourselves? My speculation is we have sold out on ourselves. We allow others to dictate our future because we have become complacent . Complacency is contagious and we become lackadaisical. After time, and passed on to generations, we then become forgetful, forgetful of who we were and where we came from. We lose our morals and values, becoming more and more self-induldgent.

This is when "our God" becomes "us". We (those who dictate us) become our God. We are a very forgetful society. I don't necessarily think we send people we don't like to govern, I think we in general have, or had, good intentions, but those we elect are surreptitious. Because we are complacent, we let it continue.

I'm afraid we have already sold our soul to the devil, but it is most certainly not without redemption. But it will take monumental movement by our society to restore and even make better the world. At this point, the movement may just need to come from a greater force. But we are all still capable, there are more good people than bad. We just need to rise together for the occasion.
