Quoting: Lilbabez33 I believe everyone has left a source out of the equation, and I believe it's a better argument then what has been commented on so far. I believe that life was brought here and whoever it was that brought the life here, wouldn't that be our creator, our g-d of sorts? While I believe firmly in extra terrestrial life, I'm not so certain that they brought life to earth, or had much of a hand in the evolution of life here. My biggest problem with the E.T. origins theory is the same one I have with the hand of God theory, and that is this: Why, what was the point? Some sort of science project? Set life in motion on this planet, sit back and have a good laugh at what the sentient beings get up to, come down from time to time to give anal probes in trailer parks?(j/k on the probe bit god is against anal sex). But then again , something had to kick start the whole shooting match, and aliens are just as likely a source as God. But that brings another question to mind; if aliens created us, who, or what created them? There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened. |

(peers around fearfully) Quoting: zenobiaphobia The theory that matter is constantly created from nothing to fill the void between expanding galaxies?? Bunk. It would require immense amounts of energy in those voids to create matter at a rate that keeps up with the expansion of the universe. Then a fully formed and educated adult male was formed from mud. Some time after the sky wizard tore one of his ribs out and made some chick out of it. Things were going fine until the Disney-esque talking snake made shit hit the fan by eating the Disney-esque cursed apple. If God is the creator who created him, and then who created his creator, and so on. i also, am intrigued by this question. the only plausible answer i have ever received is, that god always has, and always will exist. unfortunately that opens the door to numerous other questions. for instance, what in the world could he possibly be doing during the eternity before creation, especially if the earth is only 6000 years old. an eternity of just 'being" is too hard for me to grasp. |

[/ because we cannot "Grasp" something..means it is not so? What was God doing all the eternity before he began to create???? MAYBE he was using his "imagination" to come up with the incredible Creation in the life we see around us |
