If you don't like guns that's just fine. If you want to take guns from people you have no business in this country.

I for one refuse to protect an unarmed citizen.

This country doesn't just allow gun ownership, gun ownership IS this country. It defines what it means to be an American. It is a huge portion of what defines this country and its citizens. If you dissagree, then you should LEAVE! Pretty simple.

The entire foundation of the United States is based on gun ownership. Duh. It's as much of being an American as voting, driving a car, owning a home, starting a business.

If your opinion differs then it means you are not a true American and should leave. Just because your mind has been subverted, doesn't mean America has changed. American values are already well defined. The television does not create the rules. The rules are well established and they will never change.

I won't be giving up my guns. Not without a fight to the death. And if you are one of my chicken shit neighbors I'll let them rape your wife and daughters. I'll sip a beer while it happens. And I'll laugh. When they cross into my lawn I'll elliminate them. Then I'll borrow your law mower and go about my day like it weren't no thang. Guess you shoulda made the right decision.

We've got AL of history to look back at. With our so-called "government" making it VERY clear that they are ramping up for war against the legitimate owners of this country, this would be the very WORST time in history, to fall for (now legal) propaganda, and disarm yourself in the face of EXTREME danger.

People need to IGNORE the media onslaught, and all of the PROPAGANDA, including the false flags, and anti-gun hype. The media is IGNORING news where people successfully use a gun to defend themselves, while at the same time SLAMMING HOME every incident where some CRIMINAL (who shouldn't have even been let out of jail) uses a gun to kill someone.

I am absolutely FED UP with these criminals in government and media. They are nothing but LIARS and HYPOCRITES. They are corrupt beyond your WILDEST imagination.

This has GOT to stop. And this is the WORST possible time in history to disarm yourselves.

Here's a timeline of the current effort, from the day after Sandy Hook until today. It's an interesting study in group think & if you pay attention you'll see that this has been a well-coordinated effort...

I disagree that gun ownership defines what it means to be an American. But regardless I respect your right to have a gun. I personally probably wouldn't own one even if I was legally allowed to.

Then you must be 12 years old or not originally from here. Are you a mail order bride from Russia? Funny its number TWO on our constitution. Not 8 or 10.

Remember its not a matter of opinion. It's a matter of accept it or move to another country.

I am neither 12 or from another country.

Having the right to ownership has nothing to do with it defining what it means to be an American. So I do not accept it, nor will I be moving.

But that doesn't mean I don't respect your right to have a gun. I just think that a person can be an American and not own a gun.

Good for you. But you've obviously not read your history because gun ownership is a major part of America. It does not matter if things have developed or changed. Look at the colonial days and the Wild West.

Thank you for supporting the constitution anyway.

Guns are just a thing. They no more define what it means to be an American than a steam engine or telegraph.

And I can say: I am an American, and I own no gun.

You have the correct attitude, and prove yourself an American by your attitude.

I love guns, and would welcome you to have a beer any day, presuming you drink of course.

America is not gun ownership. It does not define America but it obviously defines your view of America. It is a right of Americans to own guns as it is in the constitution but it is just a small part.

America is the melting pot of the world. A beautiful country with lovely faces from many different places around the globe. We are blessed with free speech and many different freedoms but with that comes the importance of moderation. Guns are not bad things in themselves but rational thought must come into play.

It's sad really. You have nothing else to believe in but the 2nd Amendment and gun ownership. Hundreds of years of poor public policy have resulted in this attitude. The original American settlers left an unequal class society where there was no freedom of belief and an attitude that the nobility i.e. the wealthy deserved preferential treatment.

They came to America vowing that their society would be different. Guess what, over the years the international bankers were allowed in. The class society was created. No titles, thank you very much, but a class society nontheless. Public policy was made to protect the weathy.

Sure slavery was outlawed, but for the most part, not for altruistic reasons, but to benefit the wealthy in the north. Ex slaves were still treated like second class citizens and lived in poverty for at least two centuries and still, to a large degree, live in poverty due to unequal education, unequal employment opportunities etc. Yes crime has been the natural result. Crime is born in poverty. The same is true throughout the world. The greedy bankers have become even more wealthy because public policy supports THEM, not the public at large. No policies to truly improve the lives of the poor are supported, so crime abounds.

The poor and uneducated have always been required to fill the ranks of the military - the foot soldiers, the cannon fodder, so that the reigning sovereignty can wage war to benefit, who else, the entitled few. The poor are considered the surplus population. Wars have been waged in the name of freedom, but that's a lie. The wars benefit none but the manufacturers of weapons, or the actual owners of oil supplies or other strategic sites(i.e. something important to someone wealthy) around the world. People are easily manipulated into believing lies, sometimes even elected representatives are sold a bill of goods.

It's very easy to blame race relations for problems, but it's simplistic. It's like believing malaria was caused by bad air (literal translation of malaria) rather than a mosquito born microorganism. To most people there was no difference. Whether you avoid going out at night because the air might make you sick or because mosquitos will bite you, the end result is that you are healthier staying indoors. The big difference is however, that once you know mosquitos are the problem, you can deal with mosquitos and enjoy the night air. Once as a society you recognize that poverty is the surest predictor of crime, you can require that society deal with poverty. Societies that have tackled the problem of poverty have very little crime. No one of any race is inherently any different from anyone else. Anyone who is deprived of the same basic rights others enjoy is liable to take matters into their own hands.

So you have a choice, albeit a difficult one. Do you choose to keep your collective heads in the sand about the real reason that your society is dangerous, or do you resolve to only support representatives who are willing to do something constructive about the problems.

Perhaps neither existing political party is up to the task. They may be too entrenched in the status quo. Perhaps there is room for a new party that actually represents the people. Guns are not really the solution. Eventually you won't be able to tell the good guys from the bad guys, because there will be no good guys or bad guys, but just a bunch of desperate people fighting for whatever crumbs the very wealthy leave you.
“The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problem.” Mahatma Gandhi
