I posit that even the most enlightened sage would not be able to avoid suffering in an inescapable torturous environment.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26851286 That's why it's a symptom of the human condition...I think things like suffering are necessary...we were created to experience suffering (among a range of other emotions etc)...we were also given the tools to bypass the necessity for it as well...we choose to use them...or not. The only bypass would be suicide
