The wildlife refuges are funded by fees collected from hunters and fishermen.
The game populations were nearly wiped out at one
point in this country.. due to subsistence hunting and
lack of regulation.
Thanks to conservation, game management and hunters... they are thriving.
Wild turkey are now found in every contiguous state.
