According to gofundme's FAQs, a page starts out with a generic URL. You may create a custom URL, such as "sandy-hook-victims-fund," only ONCE. They make this very clear. That being said, there is no way the URL for this page could have been "help-find-a-cure."

This is exactly the same as the facebook page that was create before, IE, someone changed a page to talk about sandy hook after it happened and you guys are all going crazy because of it.

Only this time we have proof that the URL cannot be changed twice, as the page creator claims she did. Busted.

You can set up your own DNS Servers and put up your own site. You do not HAVE to go to the standard registrars, especially if you are the Government. They have their own registrar servers, that is why Win7, Win8 and Explorer 9 give you the red "this site is dangerous" if you visit some Government sites. Their certificates are not recognized in the public domain because they were not registered by public registrars. Not to mention, there are registrars all over the world.

"Desaree" has now taken down her "Sandy Hook Victim Fund" page hosted by gofundme minutes after saying she would leave the page up. No surprise here. I imagine this has something to do with the email I sent her calling out her lies. It took about one hour after people started calling her out for the page to disappear.

I managed to snag a screenshot of her lying diatribe about changing the URL, but please tell me someone snapped a shot of the page creation date!

This isn't "my video", I just thought this information was interesting.

I wasn't really comfortable seeing all these set up and mentioned on obituary sites because IMO they seemed tacky
and self-serving, for the most part.
I've never seen it done before when someone dies unless it was to a hospital or hospice or ACS stuff like that in lieu
of flowers.

In every single obit except 2, I think they had a donation campaign in lieu of flowers.
