LIFE IS PROGRESSIVE: PEOPLE WITH PROBLEMS, GET MORE PROBLEMS. PEOPLE WITH ADVANTAGES GET MORE ADVANTAGES.
ERGO: get rid of your problems (overweight, out of shape, addicted to something or someone or some screwball notion, in a shitty relationship, job, part of the country, always been passive vs active in your life, always been manipulated or cowered or servile, etc, etc....ditch those problems).
OTHERWISE...they compound and you get MORE problems! i.e. "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always be what you've always been."
2nd GOODIE: TIME ONLY RUNS IN 1 DIRECTION (i.e. there are no "do-overs", high school is over, nobody's coming to rescue you)
