My niece has had numerous, vivid and violent dreams of aliens attacking the earth and specifically of her family and having to flee. In one dream, she was in space looking down at the earth and could see all their points of attack. The whole planet was under siege.

Nope! My UFO dreams are always positive.

No, but I've had dreams about running from drones. Whenever they spotted us, the ground troops were alerted to our location so we had to keep moving and hiding. Terrifying.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31631915

I've had a dream like that too--several years before I'd ever heard of a drone or knew that they existed.

I had a dream last week where I looked up and saw saucers flying overhead and then I looked to the horizon at a city and there was fire and smoke and chaos. Don't know if it was the saucers causing it or they were trying to stop it but it was VERY realistic and I can still see it now.

Re: Have you had dreams of hiding or trying to escape from UFO's as they go about attacking people?
Hi OP, I occasionally have extremely vivid dreams, sometimes lucid. I had one of the latter not long before christmas. I was working with a chap I have worked with occasionally, plastering a ceiling in a top floor flat in a mill that was being converted for housing. I became aware of a commotion going on, as I made my way down to the ground floor there were many people rushing around panicking, screams in the distance. As I got outside, I saw columns of black smoke pouring vertically down from the overcast sky, and I remember realising at this point that this was an EOTWAWKI situation. I saw one alien, looked a bit like the 'predator' film type, but the face was a fixed mask. I kind of buried myself in a large pile of gravel, and watched. As the alien approached, it did not seem to see me, and it was repeating the same phrase, "join us, we will give you what you want, for a year". I woke up at this point, still feeling the shock and terror of the dream, It was four in the morning but no way could I get back to sleep. I'm 49yo, and this dream was at a level with a few I had as a kid that terrified me, and that I still remember vividly.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26920914

YES-My dream also had long columns/pillars of dark almost black smoke dropping down straight down over the city to kill the people, some type of poisonous gas. Very scary scene to look at.

Re: Have you had dreams of hiding or trying to escape from UFO's as they go about attacking people?
Had this dream more than once:
In a neighborhood I don't recognize, with a lot of family and people I know, at night. We are all hiding from something, and people keep getting taken. Go outside to smoke, look up and see different shaped ufos EVERYWHERE. I can hear the vibrations from them as they hover over different homes. Run inside to hide. Me, my daughter, and my husband make it until the 3rd night. I can hear and feel the ufo above the building we are hiding in, and then I woke up.
Strange side note, on another night, had a very similar dream, but this time, their are military, fema type personnel, on atvs and tanks, telling us the only way we will be safe is if we go with them. Got a bad feeling about it and refused. Woke up the next day, and my husband, who thinks Im insane, states that he had THE EXACT SAME DREAM, and I had not even shared mine with him. Collective conscience? All I know is this: I will not be convinced by our government or military of their type of "protetion", and I will keep all of my faith in Jesus, becuase when I have dreams of impending evil, doom, etc, and call on the name of Christ, the dream STOPS IMMEDIATELY.
Quoting: THIS ISH IT REAL 874555

I agree completely with this persson's response. I had a dream with the human military UN type people working with the ET's/demons. It was scary. I also will put my trust 100% in Jesus and will never go with UN to protect me. Amen to our savior.

Re: Have you had dreams of hiding or trying to escape from UFO's as they go about attacking people?
Nice OP, I had about a week ago the most vivid dream about
UFO's attacking earth. I was with my family and some friends
in an apartment when suddenly in the sky there was this light
that sprayed something in the air. Although I first found it
kinda cool I felt something sinister behind it and all of a
sudden shit started to happen. There was a massive invasion
of aliens out of the blue. They just beamed people like crazy
and they vaporized in an instant. I saw different sized
aliens walking around and was scared like hell.

Was a big relief when I woke up. It all felt so real and I
don't normally remember my dreams or have them as this vivid.
Though I must say Iv had some other alien invasion dreams
before in my lifetime but havent had these lately except for
this one.

Re: Have you had dreams of hiding or trying to escape from UFO's as they go about attacking people?
With so many of us sharing the very realistic fear with vivid and terrifying details. I wonder what it is?
-The government microwaving our brains to have such dreams? Doing experiements on us to see what our reactions are and try and manipulate us mind control in some way?
-Maybe just a common dream and fear of our subconsciences?
-Maybe something that is going to happen in the future?
-Maybe demons messing with us in our dreams and enjoying terrorizing us like that?
This is so very common and most of the responses on here, people are terrified and clearly remember the dream for years and have more than one of them and the details and common things happening in them, wow.

Had em when I was younger. So frequently that I wrote down the score: aliens: 17 humans: 0

We never won. Humans always got massacred. And I always hid, yet I could see outside of my body to witness the aliens killing us..with beam like weapons. I dreamt these dreams without any sci fi help..just tons of UFO case reports and Unexplained Mysteries books before bed..

When I was in my 40s, don't remember the year. I dreamed that black triangular flying ships were rounding people up. The ships had equipment that could see into the house and find people. There was one way to hide that was a reflective material you had over your whole body. The material heed body heat.

They were going through all the streets and over peoples houses. They would take them away and you knew they were killing them.

Do I think the dream was about aliens, no, just some demonic men!

Well, those dreams deffinately mean something and i,ve been trying to figure out what for a long time now. they seem too real and too SF for my mind to make them up by itself. blind ppl don,t dream , so you can only dream what you see with your eyes. well i've never saw anything like my dreams before. but somehow i enjoy those dreams and i feel like i belong there. like a matrix :-)

Re: Have you had dreams of hiding or trying to escape from UFO's as they go about attacking people?
I have over the years. The oddest one was when I was living in Seattle and had a good friend I worked with. One night I had a dream I was watching a UFO on the ground and she and her husband were being escorted onboard with some other people. She looked at me, but I couldn't move.
The nest day I told her about the dream and her mouth dropped. She told me she had the same dream that she was boarding the craft watching me watch her from the ground.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30600228

I have many dreams about Seattle, or- an altered Seattle, but it's still Seattle. With my 'psychic' life fairly well developed, I've still not had a mutual dream...but I think that's because I don't keep many close relationships...I have spoken in tongues while tripping with a friend, had many obe's and things of that nature...

I have dream worlds...one of the worlds is apparently based on Seattle...others are based on other places, mostly places I've lived.

I've only had one dream of a UFO invasion, but it was just crafts flying in the twilight...it seemed significant though and was vivid.

Re: Have you had dreams of hiding or trying to escape from UFO's as they go about attacking people?
Thought I'd add my dream - which while dreaming even felt a sense of dejavu. (and when I awoke knew it was a recurring dream from my childhood)

The scariest part was very vivid.
I remember seeing the craft and knew what was going to happen. I told all those around me to find a hiding spot, sit as still as possible and make no noise. I told them not to move even if they thought everything was over.
There were screams and a lot of what sounded like laser fire. I hid behind a wall with a tree to the left of me. Several friends were close by. I could hear them screaming.
I was huddled in this position for what felt like 30 minutes hearing all the commotion. This seemed to quieten down - at this point I felt a prod in my back. Not much; just a little prod. I didn't move. Another prod, slightly harder - still I didn't move. A few moments later I heard a girl - who sounded familiar but couldn't tell - say "is it oh..." and then a curdling scream and then silence again.
I waited for a long time - still hearing screams in the distance.
After, everything was dark - it was definitely daylight when the dream started as I saw the UFO/craft clearly, now it was night time.
In the dim light I saw gibs, torsos, pools of blood and even what appeared to be shrunken bodies human remains. There were only 3 other survivors and one was barely alive. It was a young girl with curly brown hair. I didn't recognise her, her leg was completely missing and her intestines were coming out.
There was another several hours before and after this part of the dream but this was the most terrifying. If anyone wants the full account I wrote it down the morning of the dream. This occurred on 19th December.

Re: Have you had dreams of hiding or trying to escape from UFO's as they go about attacking people?
I have very regular and very vivid dreams of UFO attacks against places where I am living. I can see all of the crafts in the sky and the damage they are inflicting in their "warfare" on the earth systems. The dreams started when I was a child (I am now almost 46 years old) and have gotten more frequent and more vivid/detailed. I have 2-5 intense dreams every month now. In every case, there seems to be some forms of escape, and not complete destruction of everyone/thing in their path. But, it's frightening and I don't like the dreams. Occasionally I am actually in a craft in some deep future scenario, trying to reach some place, with a crew/load of other people and trying to escape pursuit by unfriendly craft. We are trying to reach some sort of portal in space...don't know enough about science to use proper terms (sorry) but getting to/through the portal, causes some sort of safety. There is much destruction on the earth, when the UFO craft are attacking. It's not a nice dream. None of them are comfortable. I am always left waking severely disturbed. Many times I wake not knowing if my dream is reality or not.

I've had dreams like that.....Also that they are in the sky watching us. Only I could see them. Nobody would believe me. Even though I could see them clear as day. No one else could. That was kind of a frustrating dream.

I am noticing a similar commonality in these UFO dreams. Most everyone here says that they hate these dreams, that they are disturbing, very realistic, upsetting, just a terrible thing to experience and most of us are hiding, running away, taking cover, feeling helpless.
Now a question:
What are these people having or doing in common? Intelligence level, education, profession, stresses in their life, personality type, fears, personality, shortcomings, and so forth. It would be interesting to do a study to see how the dream interpretations that try and explain the dream as a certain thing happening in the persons life, it would be interesting to see if this matched up or not with people here.
Hmmm?

There are many of us who have dreams with the exact opposite feelings. It would be interesting to find out why that's happening. There doesn't seem to be a middle-ground here -- you either have terrifying dreams about ET or feel-good ones.

They aren't demons, I'm sure of that. I wish the religious superstition would be removed from this puzzle so we can figure out what's really going on, but every time this subject comes up, the old middle-ages fear-based "demons are here" junk is used to explain this.

Dreams are one of that last vistas that still get no real research grants.
Why are our dreams so unimportant? They're not. And maybe there's a conspiracy in that. I don't know.
I agree, these dreams are so terrifying that I get a little scared just thinking about them. It's the only real terror I've ever felt.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3277084

Imo, dreams are one of the most important things that are posted on this site. It tells what personal development you are going through. The terror that some people mention is something that i will not experience. I have seen alot of alien movies too but that doesnt matter. I know the path that i walk so i know that i will not experience it, and thus not dream about it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15515569

bump

The reason why many have these dreams are because they are walking the same path. They are going to experience the same thing.

For me it has been both, just at different times in my life. The terrifying ones when I was younger, and the comparitively non-terrifying ones later in life...although as I think about them, I can discern that the ones later in life were unmistakeably OBEs that happened during sleep. Regardless of that fine point they both were as real feeling as real can be.

If it is so unusual for both to happen I think I'd be surprised.

I had a dream like that a year ago or something. I remember me standing on the window looking at this city i dont know. It was burning but there where two kinds of crafts and they were shooting at eachother. It was at night and the whole sky was red because of the flames from the city. I remember wakeing up all sweaty and shit :/
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31444657

About 11-12 years ago, I had a very vivid flying saucer dream, like no other dream I'd had before. I was in a fancy suite in a skyscraper and was sitting at a table with my father. It was nighttime. I turned around and saw 2 gigantic saucers hovering next to another skyscraper across from my building, one saucer higher than the other. They were shooting blue and green laser beams at each other and eventually, one ended up crashing, the other remaining. Then, the remaining saucer slowly started moving towards my building and the entire area was flooded with bright, white light. The building started to shake like an earthquake was happening, very violently. I started to panic and ran out of the room with some family members, started praying, and then woke up.

I've never had a dream like this since. Also, before the dream I hadn't been watching anything having to do with flying saucers on TV or in movies.

I dreamt I was walking pass a very large all reflective glass building in a large city. As I turned to look in the reflection, I noticed that every person was being followed by a short grey alien. When I say followed, I mean like only a 2 or 3 foot gap between the grey and ourselves.

At that moment it struck me that we were the life extension, or projection of these beings. It made me sick to my stomach to see and realize this IN MY dream (I was actually nauseated in the dream).

I really hope we are not some collective group of SIMS characters for these beings, but that's what I gathered in this dream.

ETA:

I wasn't going to share it but I just finished reading all of the posts and I'm a little creeped out and I'll share it to help you gather statistics.
I, too, watched WOTW with Tom Cruise and found it very disturbing, I wouldn't watch it again. I love scifi and I love science so if I had any dreams myself I'd probably blame it on spending too much time watching apocalypse-type shows on TV or reading about such scenarios. The dream actually happened to my ex-husband, who was the most skeptical person (about everything!) that I've ever met. Hated scifi, did not read, certainly did not frequent these type of forums, yet one day he woke up and told me he had the most realistic dream he'd ever had. He said in the dream, he woke up to find our bedroom flooded by a bright white light, then he found himself walking outside and boarding a craft along with other people. He knew these people in the dream but IRL has never seen them. He said that aboard the craft, big-eyed gray-skinned beings and humans in lab coats were working together; they didn't communicate verbally but telepathically. The last thing he remembers is being examined and then given an injection right behind his left shoulder. That's it.
When he woke up from the dream he said that area felt tender and remarked about how realistic (I see a lot of you saying that word) it seemed. I jokingly suggested maybe he got abducted and he thought that was the most ridiculous thing ever.

In a hypnosis session to address an abduction issue from my youth it EXACTLY was humans in lab coats working with the little greys, BUT the little greys were parked up against the wall of the cave (or what was supposed to appear as a cave) and were not animated. They were just leaned up against the wall.

Sadly, shockingly, unbelievably...it was the humans who were in charge. The greys were just used for fright factor (psyche breaking) to cover the reality of who was actually doing the abducting. The "cave" was built next to a laboratory type of room/building.

BTW, duFontaine, we are not a collective group of SIMS characters for the greys...you were led to believe this (gawd...the bastards).

Re: Have you had dreams of hiding or trying to escape from UFO's as they go about attacking people?
I dreamt I was walking pass a very large all reflective glass building in a large city. As I turned to look in the reflection, I noticed that every person was being followed by a short grey alien. When I say followed, I mean like only a 2 or 3 foot gap between the grey and ourselves.

At that moment it struck me that we were the life extension, or projection of these beings. It made me sick to my stomach to see and realize this IN MY dream (I was actually nauseated in the dream).

I really hope we are not some collective group of SIMS characters for these beings, but that's what I gathered in this dream.

THAT is f'ed up.

Humans were in charge in his dream as well. He was in the military at the time of his dream, btw. We don't talk a whole lot so I have no idea if he's had any more recently.

Yes, and the only reason I talked about a hypnosis session on a dreams thread. I don't want to derail the thread, but I thought it important enough to post.

To keep this ON topic--

I think if we're going to question why these dreams occur accross the board like they do we need to travel a little deeper down the rabbit hole, down there where only the dispicable are comfortable.

Not a surprise he was in the military, so was my father.

It's called the MILAB program.
