Re: The turning point of the largest brainwashing experiment in American history.
All he did was look not only crazy.... but violent to the majority of viewers.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1541665

Yeah the violent outbursts is what really got my attention, I guarantee clips of him trying to fight the brit will be all over the news tomorrow.

You guys down south might stand a chance in holding this off for awhile and i wish you luck. But I am up in CT and can tell you i have lost more friends and pissed off more family trying to talk to people about this then you would imagine. I use the calm thoughtful factual arguments and people here just wont here it, the screaming and yelling is sure as shit just helping out the other side. New England as far as i can tell is ready to just hand everything in, or the sheep believe nothing will come of this..

I really need to think about moving back down south and quick, there will be no resistance up in my neck of the woods, anyone got a spot for me on there farm, I come with guns and plenty of food. and I will also promise not to bang your wife or daughter...

This post actually made me really really sad. Never, EVER give up hope. Our forefathers stood up to the strongest military in the world. Never compromise, not even in the face of Armageddon. Take a jot over to PA quick. Central PA. Mark my words, there is going to be a bloodbath. Liberty NEVER dies, and will not die, until the US is nothing but a memory. There are factions who'd rather see this country a nuclear wasteland than a slave state. Freedom is worth dying for. Even if you're one man on 300 million, Freedom is worth it.

When this war begins, leave your reservations at the door. Washington, Jefferson, and Adams did this.

Jefferson stated that the beauty of the second amendment was that it would not be needed until the government tried to take it away. Lets show the world why Jefferson put the word "tried" in that sentence. Lets show the world that there is a reason we are the greatest nation on the planet. Lets show them our boomsticks, and lets show them that the greatest military force on the planet still isn't a state owned military police force, but nothing more than a bunch of really pissed off average joes with assault rifles.

You want my gun? Come get it asshole. I dare you. I may not live to see the day the leaders of the gun-grab movement get executed publicly for treason, but I will get to watch as they rot in hell for eternity for even thinking they could pull it off.

I like him just the way he is. Whether an act or not he is entertaining. I think it's all set in place. We have the gun people and the anti gun people ready to go at it. All we need is some popcorn and a good seat to watch the show. popcorn

ohh shit, Alex fucked that up so bad. A boxer cant go into the ring swinging wildly running around in circles and expect to knock someone out. They need to walk in calm and hit them where it hurts in a few well placed powerful shots. alex did none of this and came off as a crazy lunatic, which it exactly what they were expecting and prepared for. Who nominated that fool to speak on our side?

This is not good folks, not good at all.. I feel sick, and think i am going to sleep cuddling my gun tonight, because after watching that, there sure as shit going to try to take it away tomorrow..

too_sadwaaahty_tears
 Quoting: Liquid_Pestilence

this sounds silly, but after that and reading a few comments I almost shed a tear...I've been there- I think Alex is genuine, but we don't need him representing everyone that thinks 'differently'. It's quite sad, really...because every point he made was spot on. But he's going to be remembered for the delivery, and so is everyone out there that thinks 'differently'...and people will side with piers and others like him just because they remained calm...

but it also comes down to this- would Alex have even won the debate anyhow? If he would've just answered every question on the list? My guess is probably no...it's impossible to get this kind of info out on soundbites on the news...

Re: The turning point of the largest brainwashing experiment in American history.
There are sane, logical, and smart people who can speak about the various "conspiracy theories" here in America.

The fat lunatic was there to represent the gun crowd and his silly petition.

And he was the PERFECT rep for the faction of the gun crowd that has been threatening people across America for wanting gun control . . . he was the PERFECT rep for that faction of people who are rude, ignorant, defiant, obtuse, verbally vicious, and violent-minded . . . he represented well that group of gun loving, trigger-happy morons who actually believe in some twisted way that the gov is going to invoke total disarmament.

The whole thing is an experiment, but the gun freaks are too obtuse to get it . . . they don't even know they are being played . . . they're running around like frantic fools grabbing guns . . . while TPTB watch it all unfold.

Absolute, total fools with guns.

All any of you need to know is spelled out in the Twilight Zone episode . . . but most of you won't take the time to watch it - the handful who have are so obtuse they didn't even understand the story.

Get a clue people, you're being played and you are playing into their hands.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31714599

I'm not saying I disagree, but I'm struck by the fact that you seem so certain.

What makes you think you've got it all figured out?

Not being sarcastic, my question is sincere.
 Quoting: Tennessee Voodoo

Thank you at least for not being sarcastic or hateful as so many posters here are . . .

Something about this whole thing has seemed so absurd to me and the gun crowd is getting more out of control every day . . . that episode of the TZ has stood out to me for a long time as the quintessential example of the mentality of the "sheeple" and how easily they can be manipulated into any number of reactions and emotions.

So I began piecing it together . . . this false notion by gun owners that the gov is going for total disarmament, which is ludicrous . . . and I thought "experiment!" - it's all a Rod Serling-inspired experiment to gauge the reaction of the sheeple if they even vaguely believe their rights to defense themselves might be impeded in some way . . . and lo and behold - what has happened? A series of events which may or not not be what they seem but which all share one common trait: the issue of guns . . . and so it began . . .

People need to stop immediately and think about what is going on and how they are playing right into the game.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31714599

Thank you!

I see now where you're coming from - forgive me if I seem slow on the uptake, but I don't like to "read in" too much and not take away the finer points that I may be missing. Especially when I'm reading intelligent posts.

Do you think that the recent spate of frenzied gun buying is playing into 'their' hands? Is it perhaps America's way of sending a message - voting (or, "speaking out") with their wallets?

On the whole, are you concerned with the increasing hyperbole that you're seeing from the pro-gun crowd, or the Fat Texan crowd?

Again - my questions are totally serious and devoid of sarcasm. Not looking to 'trap' you, just picking your brain.

:-)
 Quoting: Tennessee Voodoo

Thanks.

The gun crowd should consider the "finer points" of this issue before jumping to conclusions and labeling people unfairly.

I think the rush to buy weapons is playing into their hands, providing them more info about individuals, as well as giving them a picture of the overall mindset of those who are clearly placing themselves into a faction of fingers-on-the-trigger defiance. Make no mistake - the gov is taking note of those who are openly willing to defy the law and those who rant and rave like unrestrained lunatics.

I believe the issue of voting/elections, etc. is now totally moot in America. Citizens have no say in the matter - it's determined by the global PTB.

Yes, very concerned about the hyperbole from that particular side as I've been gauging the responses . . . very disturbing on many levels: the anger, the hatred, the depths to which they sink in labeling those who oppose them or want gun control, their hypocrisy in using the constitution to support their cause while trampling the 1st amendment - and they are contributing to increased division in America.

There is something very wrong when citizens of a supposed progressive nation are so strongly divided and when one faction demands that people get the hell out of the country simply because they want stricter gun legislation. We are supposed to be so tolerant in America, and yet, certain factions seem tolerant only of their views. Most of the gun crowd is not just debating the issues - they are vile in their anger and attitude, and the problem is, while many are so tough behind a keyboard, it's very likely that too many are equally hate-filled and angry in person and are looking for any reason to pull the trigger. When maniacal and angry people have possession of guns, it's a concern to the nation.

I am a native Texan, with roots going back to the 1800s, and I support gun control, but gun fanatic posters here have told me I'm not a true Texan, that I should get the hell out of the state and move to California or Mexico, etc. That says volumes about them and their character.

In this debate, all one has to do is compare the responses made by each side - and you can see who is rational, fair, and most willing to consider all points.

Again, it's not just about guns . . . it's about TPTB gauging the sheeple so they can maintain the upper hand and steer things in the direction most beneficial and profitable to THEM.

Leading cause of death is DEMOCIDE after Disarmament. hundreds of millions dude. The reason we are still here is that we live in one of the very few free nations in history. To hell with being polite and all that "progressive" stuff is going to screw you out of whatever scraps are leftover from the well-spring of life that was our founding.

The only reason he threw in 9/11 was because the average American sheeple have a couple people like us in their families who have had similar heated conversations over the years. It's a brainwashing tactic. They know this because they know us and everything we say or do is archived and eventually examined. Of course he won 9/11.

We always win 9/11...1rof1 It's not very hard. 1dunno1

Be honest... How many of you win your gun debates lately? Not win in your mind... but actually convincingly win the argument and change someone's mind.

I found it impossible without printed documents, memorized statistics and an hour or so to calmly deprogram.

The exact opposite of ** tonight.

To be honest with you... Whenever I've acted like ** did tonight, I've lost the debate... and you know what? My last ditch attempt is usually 9/11, no matter what the original topic was. Be honest with yourselves. Drop the ego.

Obama planned this. He was watching, it was a BIG DEAL. The White House finally responded to the petition to deport Morgan after they took ** off the air. Videos of the exchange will go viral on Facebook(by both sides) because it 'proves how dangerous, wrong and mentally disturbed we are' no matter how confident and right we are, I promise you.

The lines have been clearly drawn. In the general public's mind... If you are one of ** millions of supporters who think he won this debate, you are now dangerous like Lanza, Holmes, Loughner, etc.. The connection in the sheeple thought pattern has been made.

The scary part is that I generally agree with everything ** says but he is either a fucking idiot or a fucking bug because he failed us miserably tonight with his presentation.

This is the turning point of the largest brainwashing experiment in American History.hiding

He was totally unprepared. The only thing he was prepared for was his crazy lunatic speech about 1776(in the first minute) and then eventually 9/11.

I don't know about the rest of you... but I find it very difficult talking to the biggest sheeple friends/family about our police state. I've had family tell me calmly...

'if you are going to act like a terrorist, you deserve to be treated one'

... in defense of indefinite detainment of American citizens without trial... wtf

WTC7 is the most convincing evidence currently available and it can be provided to sheeple in a matter of minutes. Same thing with BBC's announcement 20 minutes early. The sheeple can't explain it.

dancedancedancedance

TPTB AND ** meant for ** to come across as a crazed conspiracy lunatic with no evidence to back up any of his claims until he suddenly nails 9/11 with a solid line about the military industrial complex because that is how most of us sound to our family members and friends who are the most brainwashed. (Like the people who watch CNN every day because it's their best source for news...)

It has begun...

We aren't a progressive nation. We're a constitutional republic.

We need more people controlling the guns, not guns being controlled.

Lets ban knives cause they stab people, water because it drowns people, fire because it burns people, cars because they crush people, ropes because they strangle people, baseball bats because they beat people to death, sharks because they eat people, and finally, lets ban emotion cause it causes heart attacks that kill people.

A gun is no different than any of those.

"The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that's good" - George Washington

"Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom." - John F. Kennedy

“A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity.” -Sigmund Freud

The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them." - Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story

No matter how one approaches the figures, one is forced to the rather startling conclusion that the use of firearms in crime was very much less when there were no controls of any sort and when anyone, convicted criminal or lunatic, could buy any type of firearm without restriction. Half a century of strict controls on pistols has ended, perversely, with a far greater use of this weapon in crime than ever before. - Colin Greenwood

Gun control defined: The theory that people who are willing to ignore laws against rape, torture, kidnapping, theft, and murder will obey a law which prohibits them from owning a firearm. – Unknown

He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. – Luke 22:36

“The constitution of the United States asserts that all power is inherent in the people, that they may exercise it by themselves, that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed!” – Thomas Jefferson

“The Constitution shall never be construed… to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.” – Samuel Adams

If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so. – Thomas Jefferson

He defeated the host in the first 20 seconds.

"We did it as a way to bring attention to the fact that we have all of these foreigners, and the Russian government, the official Chinese government -- Mao said political power goes out of the barrel of a gun, he killed about 80 million people because he's the only guy who had the guns -- so we did it to point out that this is globalism, and the mega banks that control the planet and brag they have taken over -- in Bloomberg, AP, Reuters, you name it -- brag that they're going to get our guns as well. They've taken everybody's guns, but the Swiss and the American people and when they get our guns, they can have their world tyranny while the government buys 1.6 billion bullets, armored vehicles, tanks, helicopters, predator drones, armed now in U.S. skies, being used to arrest people in North Dakota."

transcript of that "CRAZY" person.

This is the problem. For you and I this opening statement makes sense and sounds like a good argument. But remember most people know nothing about what he is talking about and you cant expect them too because none of these talking points he brought up are main stream info.

Show your mother this, or the guy's at work, or any other "normal" american and they will glaze over and not hear a word of truth because its way to much new conflicting info for them to take in. To just prove that this statement alone has any truth to it would take pages and pages of text and most are going to immediately think your crazy anyway and not listen to a word your saying.

Combine that with the fact he is just yelling at the top of his lungs all aggressive and confrontational for the rest of the interview just proves to the "masses" all the "conspiracy" people are just wacko angry gun nuts. and that's just what they want to believe anyway because it keeps there understanding of there little perfect world intact.

Most "normal" Americans think that guns kill kids and if you remove the guns no more kids are going to die. They also believe that the government is there friend and is there to help them because that is what is getting injected into there heads everyday from the TV.

How do you explain to someone that is not the truth when it breaks down everything they were told and there entire grasp of reality? Most dont follow conspiracy theories or even entertain they exist. This interview is just going to enforce that fact to them.

alex made us all out to look like fools. instead of having a rational conversation to bring out points to make people think, he just yelled and screamed a bunch of shit no one knows anything about. that dude is a fool, and watching that video made me really angry and sad, and at the same time helpless that there is no chance of getting people to see the big picture..

Re: The turning point of the largest brainwashing experiment in American history.
I've heard it said that debates rarely change anyone's mind. The ones who agree will still agree, and the ones who disagree will continue to disagree.

That being said, I'm believe we're further polarizing as a society in the US: pro-gun vs anti-gun.

It's hard for me to imagine the anti-gun crowd gaining any significant ground, but then again I'm predisposed to thinking I'm in the majority as I'm surrounded by people who think like I do.

When I see the unprecedented gun and ammunition buying that's occurring at a frenetic pace across the US, it tells me that there are a hell of a lot of people who are pro-gun. I think this is a really good sign.

Okay, I'm rambling...

The point I'm trying to reach is that I believe we might be headed for trouble and I'm not sure TPTB have the resources to
accomplish anything too drastic.

Most normal Americans don't think guns kill kids. They think that deranged killers on psychotropic drugs kill kids.

I doubt if very many people these days think government is their friend and is there to help them. Except the welfare and "progressive" crowd.

The BOR is not a conspiracy theory.

Piers morgan intended to ambush his guest. He failed.

When the "progressives" talk about a "rational" conversation they mean one where you agree that the Constitution is outdated and the BOR must be modified to their specifications.

Can't fall asleep!

This is going to be a very important day.

I am 28 years old and live in Michigan. Why does it matter?

I am and have been completely unplugged from CNN and Alex I only tuned in because I sensed something big would go down. I think I was right.

Jesse, while not perfect, did a much better job than Alex.

All any of you need to know is spelled out in the Twilight Zone episode . . . but most of you won't take the time to watch it - the handful who have are so obtuse they didn't even understand the story.

Get a clue people, you're being played and you are playing into their hands.

Also that host dude was trying to pull off one single 'argument':

Britain: Guns banned & 35 homicides with guns
USA: Guns not banned & 10k+ homicides with guns

====> Gun ban = good.

Such logic fails on so many levels.

Re: The turning point of the largest brainwashing experiment in American history.
[link to www.youtube.com]
