17 BILLION EARTHS IN OUR MILKY WAY
So, scientists have painstakingly calculated that there are 17 billion earth-like planets in OUR milky way.

AT LEAST 2 -3 OR THEM HAVE LIFE LIKE OURS?

if only one percent of them are in the goldilocks zone, that's 170 million planets with a very good chance of harbouring life.

just in our galaxy

The problem is that all 17 billion may be permanently isolated from each other due to the limits of physics.

Not a nice thought eh?

Re: 17 BILLION EARTHS IN OUR MILKY WAY
True!

Centuries ago nobody believed there was life beyond the seas. Some dared to sail and finally found people beyond the waters, who looked like them.
Sailing was hazardous and painful, and so in time we had planes.
Perhaps distance is the only reason why we cant contact other globes...who knows!
