Why would anyone turn in a gun for such a small amount of money? $50? They could sell them privately for much more. Unless they are "illegal" and had blood on them from some crime. But I still believe the criminals would be able to sell a tainted gun for more than that. WTF?

I was thinking the same thing. Like what kind of checking will they be doing with the folks who turn in the guns? A criminal could just walk in with a dirty gun and hand it off! Do they just walk in and throw them into a cardboard box and are handed a $50 card for Safeway? LOL. At least there were only 25 idiots doing this.
