Re: Soooo, whats the word on this massive rotating sunspot?
It's a very average sunspot.
Back in the 80s I watched the sun setting through the dense haze of the horizon with a pair of binoculars & no filters. I saw sunspots 2 or 3 times bigger than that & we're still here.
Amazing, I know!

Re: Soooo, whats the word on this massive rotating sunspot?
But the atmosphere mix is a little more eh volityle ?

I have seen a squid on the pacific pulling out or showing a cilinder as magnetic core with a blue withisch flame on the atmosphere...

And euh big enough for eh a planet blast that takes earth towards the solar edge for fun.

... Like a short rollercoaster ride...without landing on mars verysad

NOAA forecasters estimate a 35% chance of M-class flares and a 5% chance of X-flares during the next 24 hours. The most likely source would be sunspot AR1652; it has a 'beta-gamma' magnetic field that harbors energy for M-class eruptions. The active region is circled in this Jan. 8th image from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory:
