Interesting... I don't think for a minute the government or companies like Walgreens want us to be healthy - it's just not profitable. When I see that Walgreens is offering free flu shots with the implied intention of making people healthy so people don't have to buy all of their over the counter flu medications, and don't have to go to doctors and get prescribed all those expensive pills, and as a result the pharmaceutical industry and doctors don't make even more money -- I call bullshit. You're damn right there's something with those flu shots. I'll knock on wood now, but I've never taken a flu shot and I can't remember the last time I was sick...knock on wood again. |

The virus takes over the organs and body so much that it causes cardiac arrest or something similar, high grade fevers can kill too. from what I know, I believe it is just the symptoms of the flu that kill the person, they just get so bad that it weakens the person to death. |

We moved about 40 minutes from our long-time trusted family doctor, and when I tried to make an appointment for him to get it they said they were only giving them out during a flu shot clinic. The times were never convenient for us, so he just never got one yet. I'm thankful for it now. He usually gets hit with some kind of bug each winter, but I noticed this year that he recovered much, much faster than previous years. |

There is something more to this and I don't know why the CDC is not investigating it instead of pushing more flu shots. And the title of the article....."officials urge shots"--then you read the article only to find that the girl had the shot. Makes NO sense to me. Hopefully, the girl is in a better place because some of us know there is a much better place than here. |
