Which has some interesting advantages over traditional display tech. HOWEVER, when this becomes cheap enough to have a 50+ inch wall version for a few hundred bux i will be buying. Be nice to have a big chart i can stick on the wall and put things such as a calender and notes on without actually using paper. Sure i could just use a whiteboard or a projector, but if you can load stuff via external sources its usefulness increases. Advantages of the e ink tech are that it only uses power when changing something on the display. so you could keep a digital calender on the wall for months without it using power. Imagine how good colour large format versions would be for artists and designers. They really have to work on improving the refresh rate on these e ink type devices though. |

Think of those ultrathin laptops these days. Just a basic metal framed clamshell design. one screen acting as an interface and the other acting as a display. Maybe you could link two of them if you have two of them stand it sideways and have 2x displays and two input interfaces. Back in 2009/10 laptops were already getting pretty thin anyway. One problem i can foresee is ports, laptops will be thinner than the ports, i guess they will have to design some kind of wireless box/ port interface. Like a little cigarette box size thing that connects wirelessly and you plug your stuff such as CD drives into that. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31812044 Fantastic ![]() Imagine if they can make rolls of the stuff for a few hundred dollars and you can layer it. Might be able to cover a wall in digital wallpaper. How cool would an office be in the middle of a jungle or in your favorite soccer stadiums vip box. The limit is basically cost. |

Why? I want buttons, not dog earing the device so that it glitches and doesn't do what I want xD |

This seems nice but is not practical because you will need a whole package of these things to use them. (or at least more then 1, with current markets will cost about the same as an ipad so NO..
