A Florida college professor is stirring controversy with his claims that last month's Newtown, Conn., school shootings did not happen as reported -- or may not have happened at all.

James Tracy, a professor at Florida Atlantic University, has said in radio interviews and on his blog that trained "crisis actors" may have been employed by President Barack Obama's administration in an effort to drum up public support for gun control, the Sun Sentinel reported.

"As documents relating to the Sandy Hook shooting continue to be assessed and interpreted by independent researchers, there is a growing awareness that the media coverage of the massacre of 26 children and adults was intended primarily for public consumption to further larger political ends," writes Tracy, a tenured associate professor of media history at FAU and a former union leader, the newspaper reported.

The problem with analysis of images is that there are actually a lot of people in this country who look alike. I believe the "sad couple" and the Rockefellar relatives are definitely NOT the same people even though ok they look kind of similar.

The analysis of "little Emily" is unconvincing. About her face/skull being smaller: Look at the parents! One has a fat face, one has a narrow one. Plus little babies have fatter faces than 6-year-olds. About her hair not being out of place: I don't see that at all in the pic. Yes the missing shadow on her arm is odd but if you blow that image way up the pixels in her part of hte image look just like the pixels in the rest of it.

And anyway, what's your theory? That Emily never existed? There's a whole town called Ogden Utah, that believes she did. I mean, really.
