That some of the People will not ever allow totalitarian government to exist in their beloved nation.

That a very dangerous volatile situation is brewing.

That some states contain a higher proportion of those who would not ever allow such changes to exist as it creates a police state, and that some states might secede from such a despotic change in the federal government.

It isn't about riots. It's about people suddenly being told they can no longer own something they've previously had a legal right to own.

Most gun owners do not believe that the government will protect them from armed thugs and looters in the aftermath of a major catastrophe, natural or otherwise. Law abiding citizens who agree to give up their guns will then be open to be preyed upon by outlaws.

In addition, our VOLUNTEER military is spread quite thin. Do you think those people in southern border states really want to rely solely on the government to save them from a border incursion after they have turned in their guns?
