Many people misunderstand the commandment thou shalt not bear false witness. It does not say thou shalt not lie. Lying to defend yourself and family is not a sin. We should not deny Christ, but other than that bearing false witness has to do with testifying falsely against someone. For example, telling your dear shriveled up ugly grandmother she looks lovely is no sin....

Latest Executive Orders will most likely create bad issues with loss of medical privacy since they're trying to convince docs that there's no inhibition to asking and then reporting answers.

The sticky widget is "reporting threats of violence". What does that language mean?

Example: A patient is asked is there guns in your home? She answers yes. The doc asks, "Have you ever felt threatened by violence?" She says yes. The question is not, "Was she threatened by gun violence?" Do you get my drift? Has she ever in her life been threatened by violence? She could think back to some time when she was young. Some issue with a prior husband. Some neighbor dispute.

What does the doc do? Well, if not busy, (HA) then he puts, patient reported threats of violence and gun in home.

I guess she'll get a home visit.
