I had a cop asked me this once.

My reply.

"Yes sir I do, but its a good gun. My gun always stays where I put it. Never goes out on its own. Has been well taken care, being cleaned and lubricated after every visit to the firing range. It always does what I ask it to and has never been even the slightest bit out of line. I have a very high level of respect for it. While it has decimated countless zombie and silhouette targets it won't dare be used in any criminal act because it knows that I will not tolerate such things."

"Is it in the car with you?"

"Not at the moment"

"Oh, ok do you have any weapons in the vehicle?

"No"

"Ok Mr. ******* stay buckled up and have a nice day"

"You to man"


He pulled me over for speeding and totally forgot to write the ticket because I challenged him to think about what he was asking.

If guns are evil then people must be the inanimate objects being wielded by the guns.

When phone or internet providers call and try to get me to switch to their company, I tell them I don't even own a phone...and then hang up :)

If I'm ever asked if I have a gun at home I'm going to stand up and do a modified version of this:

The ER nurse also asked questions about guns to which I replied, "no". I do not think it is anybody's business if I own firearms. She then went on to ask me if I was being threatened at home & if I could protect myself -- WTF???

I answered no on the threat question & on the one about defending myself I just gave her a goofy look -- I was still in my dobok & belt with 3 gold slashes emblazoned upon it -- duh!

I could have understood if I came in wearing street clothes with black eyes, broken nose, bruised ribs, etc., but the questions are very intrusive & it was obvious I had the FLU!

Guns? I got this 20' long PO-TATER gun. Shoots a frozen tater straight through a car door. Motion-heat sensor activated, self-loading, self priming, HASH-BROWNING 1911.

I would never go to a Doc in the Box, unless I'm telling him what I need.

Asking about domestic abuse and guns might be part of a campaign to identify women at risk for domestic violence and offer them a "safe place" to declare certain things and get immediate protection. Some women are so terrified and brainwashed by their abusers that they believe the men have some kind of mind control over them. They need help in asking for help. An awful cycle.

Just a thought.

It's like when my company health insurance provider created a penalty for smokers, $25 additional per month for coverage. They sent a questionnaire in the mail with "Do you smoke?" as a question.

A "soft sell' to gently reel people in; get them to think they are disclosing in a safe, confidential environment when it is anything but?

My doctor is a shooter. I see him at the range once in awhile. They are a gun friendly office. If any medical person asked me if I have guns in the house,I'd play dumb and say no.

WTF indeed. They have been asking if we wear seat belts for years and that pissed me off, now this. These people are definitely out of control and gone beyond the limits we should except.

i was asked the same questions when i visited an urgent care facility. They ask how many guns, how they are stored, and so on. I was put on guard when that question came up... as i see no reason they (dr or anyone) needs to know what/how i store and where!

THIS IS GOOD TO KNOW!

When I had my gangrene gallbladder taken out and spent 10 days in the hospital. I had home nurse visits for two weeks and was asked if I had guns in the house. I respond that if I did I would not tell them. So the below has some merit.

FYI, I am passing this along... there are comments from two other people that have also been asked if they keep guns in the house. The nurse just kinda slipped it in along with all the other regular questions. I told her I refused to answer because it was against the law to ask.

Everyone, whether you have guns or not, should give a neutral answer so they have no idea who does and who doesn't. My doctor asked me if I had guns in my house and also if any were loaded. I, of course, answered yes to both questions. Then he asked why I kept a loaded gun close to my bed. I answered that my son, who is a certified gun instructor and also works for Homeland Security, advised me that an unloaded, locked up gun is no protection against criminal attack.

The Government now requires these questions be asked of people on Medicare, and probably everyone else.

Just passing this along for your information: I had to visit a doctor other than my regular doctor when my doctor was on vacation.. One of the questions on the form I had to fill out was: Do you have any guns in your house?? My answer was None of your damn business!!

So it is out there! It is either an insurance issue or government intervention. Either way, it is out there and the second the government gets into your medical records (as they want to under Obamacare) it will become a major issue and will ultimately result in lock and load!!

Thanks, from a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer: I had a doctors appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found out something very interesting that I would like to pass along. While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the end of the exam, three questions: 1. Did I feel stressed? 2. Did I feel threatened? 3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone?

The nurse then informed me that if I had answered yes to any of the questions I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland Security.



Looks like they are going after the vets first. Other gun people like retired law enforcement will probably be next. Then when they go after the civilians, what argument will they have? Be forewarned and be aware. The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and gun owners potential terrorists. Whether you are a gun owner, veteran or not, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED ! If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them. Be very cautious about what you say and to whom. They are coming for us, so unless you're an ostrich, do not stick your head in the sand......

BUT is ok for the POS Obama to ORDER his military to kill whomever he wants.
