You are completely deceived. This calendar is perpetuating a linear timeframe that is not God's plan. His Son is the alpha and omega of this time. There is a beginning and end. If you think for one second that our Savior will perpetuate this finite concept, then you are indeed as crazy as your eyes and mouth indicate.

Jesus Christ is the truth, the light, and the way. I don't need a detour from a calendar wielding pope jokester.

How do people know when the equiluxes and solstices are? Should they check the dates on the gregorian calendar so they know which day your calendar starts on?

For example, suppose somebody wants to plan an event that starts on the first sunday of summer in the year 2032. What date would that be using your calendar? It's easy to figure out what date that would be on the gregorian calendar.

Russ knows the answers he wants and just keep generating new questions to go along with them it seems.

The first Sunday of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere on the New Jerusalem calendar is always June 1 which is always Father's Day and the celebration of John the Baptist Conception Day.

That is what is nice about the New Jerusalem calendar. Everything is fixed and you use the same dates every year.

On the Gregorian it changes every year. Like Easter for example. On the Gregorian it changes every year. On the New Jerusalem calendar, Easter is always on Sunday March 22.

Don't let Jewish logic get in the way when the calendar is called "The New Jerusalem" calendar.

Using the gregorian calendar, it is easy to calculate how many days are left until the first day of summer in 2032. Can you do that with your calendar? How many days are left until the first day of summer in 2032?

How does your calendar handle leap years? It seems like you don't know when each years calendar will start until the equilux at Niagara Falls happens.

The gregorian calendar has mathematical formulas so that anybody can calculate when any year starts and ends. Does your calendar have that? Or do people have to wait for protestant pope Russ to decide when each year starts?

The New Jerusalem calendar always starts on the Niagara Falls Equilux

Leap years are every 4 years to keep Alpha Omega New Year Day on the Niagara Falls Equilux.

New Years weekend goes:

Saturday (February 30), Alpha Omega New Year Day, AO Leap Day (if needed), Sunday (March 1)


Same every year. So you always get a 3 day weekend and a 4 day weekend for Leap Years.

In the Gregorian it changes all of the time and you get stuck doing New Years during the week. Not good. Sloppy.

How do you know when the equilux will happen so that you can start a new calendar? Do you check on the gregorian calendar? Do you measure how long each day and night is, and when they are the same, decide that yesterday must have been the equilux and start on day two of your calendar?

Or are you saying that using your calendar, three years have 365 days, then the fourth year has 366 days, and this is considered good enough for your calendar?

What do you do when after following this scheme for a while, the equilux happens the day after or day before when your calendar says it should?

I don't think I have ever done this, but I did not watch the video in the first post. And, I did not read a single reply.

But, when I read the thread title, and saw who the poster was, I thought:

Russ, you are batshit crazy. But, you believe in your message, and you are damn dedicated.

I used a sunrise/sunset table to get the gregorian date for the equilux then converted it to New Jerusalem. The Equilux is always on Alpha Omega New Year Day and the AO Leap days are used to keep it there.

So your calendar is based on observations of the sunrise/sunset table, and requires use of the gregorian calendar to determine when a year should start. You can't figure out decades in advance when a new jerusalem calendar year will start, because there might be arbitrary AO leap days which could change the start of the year.

The gregorian calendar is mathematical, and the start of a year can be calculated, such as by a computer.

With society the way it is now, with computers and the internet, a mathematical calendar is a lot more useful to a lot more people than an observational calendar. Using your calendar, there needs to be somebody at Niagara Falls checking the sunrise and sunset for calendar purposes. Gregorian calendar doesn't need that, computers can calculate it all.

Maybe you need to modernize your calendar to bring it into the computer age.

Did you know you can put the NJ date on your computer?

Click on your time/date area and change the date to
October 29,2012 and it will show up as 10/29/12 on your computer. It is December 29 (10/29/12) in Australia right now but only 10/28/12 where I am.
