I believe we should have respect for nature, animals and all of God's creation. He created it, therefore we should care for and respect it. I believe we should take care of the earth and not hurt or pollute it. And I also believe that every human life is special and we should have respect and care for all people everywhere. You can believe in all of those things. And you should. I do believe, however, that people who have a callous and uncaring attitude toward animals tend to have the same attitude toward people as well. And that is a serious problem. The world could use a lot more love all the way around. But it's not happening and I'm not optimistic about seeing it in the near future either.
