Solar... Look to solar

Buid a small H2O machine. Lots of easy ways and home depot has everything. Did it years ago. It was fun and really simple. We set it up to show our friends and family.

yes good idea but we have solar technology known but what is not known

miniature tesla wireless transmitter/receiver. Or perhaps a nice HHO cell.
(no lid on the cell) that way it only does pop, not boom when you spark it with a burner lighter.

yeah i have 7 kids and 4 in school the ones I am doing this for 5th and 6th grades and thought it an oppurtuinity to show whats being hid and what better way than a child showing it...

Perhaps something regarding the sense of 'smell' or 'taste' and Memory.

How in such particular situations a type of 'time travel' becomes reality...

I was unable to get this to work for me because I need to update my plugins. Might work for you. These are the plans for a small wireless power transmitter based on Tesla. These plans are provided by Steve Jackson. I have heard that this costs approx $300.

You might also check with the Peswiki site to find other projects that might be interesting. I would think a Bedini SSG would be easy inexpensive and there is a lot of info out there on these.

I have also heard of people using Rodin Coils in school projects that have a big WOW factor.

A small tornado inside an acrylic tube. They had one at the Smithsonian (I think) a few years ago, and the man who worked there explained how it was done. It was pretty easy. If I remember correctly they used dry ice, a couple of fans and maybe boiling water.

How about building a magnetometer to measure changes in the earth's magnetic field (to tell you when the earth's getting battered by the solar wind)?

I built one a lot of years ago (or tried to with limited time, resources, and patience) but I just found this one which looks pretty easy to make. There'll be plenty of other designs out there but this is one which I think you'll be able to demonstrate in a classroom/
