So I think it stays 112 and not 211 or anything else.

The question is, what does 112 signify?

A date, time, place, address, highway, battleship, flight number, policy number... and the list goes on.

But, we're clever people here, lets see if we can work it out.

It would seem they want this number implanted in the sleepwalkers subconscience for a greater importance down the road. Meanwhile, we "awoken" exhaust valuable brain cells trying to decipher it's evil intentions, cuz it can't be for mankinds benefit.
