After that volunteers with the Youth Rescue Team at the Bulgarian Red Cross will demonstrate how to provide first aid. Experts with the 112 national system are to explain how and when you should ask the emergency telephone number for help. The European 112 Day will be marked also in the cities of Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse, Kardzhali, Montana and Sliven. I also saw it in a very strange way tonight. After making a text to hubby I had to quickly shove my phone in a pocket to take care of someone (I was still at work). A couple of minutes later I get a call from a number I don't know. I didn't pick it up. I saw a bit later they left a voicemail and in going to history I saw that I had made a call to emergency! The number was 112! I always thought emergency was 911? Since when did it change to my local area of New Jersey to 112? Anyways...I called them back to let them know I was okay as they had left a message of concern. Still seeing that 112 was really freaky as a person had come to our doors an hour after closing asking me to open the door...which I didn't realize until after he left was NOT locked! Even weirder I was thinking a bit later, what if he had noticed and tried to open the doors...would I get to 911 on time as I was right there? Weird. |
