Changing Environment is Leading to Extinction of Various Reptiles Worldwide

The research also highlights that 12.2% species out of 112 species which are found in India and total of 15% reptiles present in Indo-malayan territory are threatened with extinction. Reptiles like Indian crocodile, King Cobra, four types of turtles, the South Andaman krait and Sikkimese Bent-toed Gecko are in greater dancer of disappearance. These figures are based on the random samples taken from the 1500 reptile species of the world.
